@baronvonchunk I do aggree that theres a slight change/enhancement in his vocal performance, but i would not call it auto tune, because the change is so small. It just becomes more of a "touch up" in my opinion. Its like 80% him, and 20% machine. Auto tune is the other way around :) But you make a valid point ;)

@zenwinex auto-tune isnt what alot of people make it out to be, you can have it on a low setting, all is needed is have the pitch correction setting on chromatic and have the 'hardtune' i.e. how fast your vocal notes are noticed and smoothly transitioned. You still need a good voice for that setting to work, its for use as an effect in my opinion, unlike other artists like T-pain etc. who have it on scale based on a set key and fast transitions so they cant go out of tune, gives it abad name

@796305001 Not many bands use it live because it is difficult to use live and doesnt really help, but almost all rock bands use it at least a bit in the studio, i am a sound engineer and use it on most bands, but the public wouldnt have a clue i am even using it, sometimes the band doesnt even know it is being used, pendulum use it very heavily in the studio, the part "we gotta get out, go far away" has alot of auto tune or pitch correction as its actually called, on the back up harmonies.

@zenwinex Not live they dont, because apart from the mc's vocals most of the vocals you are hearing here are pre recorded and not live, but as a musician and sound engineer i can tell you they use auto tune on their albums, as most bands do, for example, the part "we gotta get out, go far away" uses alot of autotune especially on the backup harmonies, in fact it uses so much that they are using it as a deliberate effect, and it sounds really cool

i dont think it is a poinless comment, alot of people who know little about sound engineering, think that auto tune is "cheating" or somehow means the person using it is a bad singer, thats why you get comments like "pendulum would never use autotune!" etc, my comment was in response to a guy who said "almost all rock bands dont use it" i disagree, many rock bands DO use it, and the public dont know the difference between using it live or in studio, they dont even know that this is lip synced!
