I'd stop for R1 any day. We'd push many cabs into intersections back in the day, because they were the worst. Half of a NYC medics' job is knowing which streets to stay off of when responding. (Former "12X3" Medic)

Cabs drive like idiots, Pedestrians never wait on the sidewalk to cross the street, buildings block the view from drivers on cross streets, everyone has a place to get to that they feel is more important than the next guy. Just to name a few. This is a tough city, Ya get used to it and continue loving what you do.

Ambulance was a ways back. If the vehicles in front of the ambulance would of pulled out into traffic, more than likely would of had an accident. Cross traffic probably had no idea that an Emergency Vehicle was approaching. For a while,, I couldnt even see the ambulance from the cameras location.

There's an explanation on the St.Vincents graphic artwork in a Graphic Design book I read, the arrow shows directionality, the crest symbolizes Shield and color combo I couldn't recall, overall pretty neat though.
