  • Is this a green iguana or not ? I am asking because of the color . Can anyone tell me ?

  • @nuclearthrasher666 Female iguanas keep heir green color...sexally male iguanas turn bright orange as a sexual lure for the femeles, the brighter, the better. I have both a male and female iguana,

  • @ladyiguana Thanks man .

  • so cute!

  • lol!

  • dude i want a lizard so i can tap the primal energy like the egyptians did with crocadiles

  • that spotlight is a fire hazard... if your iguana climbes it it will fall on to the carpet and set your home on fire dude! a friend of mine just had an accident at his place.. all his animals burnt alive..! it needs to be some real stuff holding it to the board.. not just klamped on.. ... nice animals in your video by the way =)

  • actuallyt I work from home and am there 24/7...The few times I am out, I do shut off that spotlight and opt for the human heating pads that are around the house...but ty so much for the concern...I love you for it!

  • i wanna make my iguana free roam..but my iguana trys to eat everything..including my dam carpet

  • @godzilla2311 wow ive never had inguana or any of my reptiles try to eat my carpet lol make a video i wanna see this lol

  • @godzilla2311 Thats funny i let my ig wonder around and alwasay tries to eat my carpet!!

  • I got my iguana now 2 weeks. Its really nice to have them and care for them :) If you give him much attention, they will be sweet :) He/she didnt tailwhip me yet :)

  • LOL at 2:16 ! Iguanas rule! XD

  • nice

  • help me out hear do the comments go up or down imso confused

  • careful with the light. they could burn themselves badly if they can get to it. i just rescued one that burnt his head on the casing. he is better now.bit pissy though cuz the guy never held him and hes 3 now

  • I am well aware of the damage an iguana can do to itself with a heat lamp. hot rocks are worse. I'm a herp vet so I know what to do and not to do...the lamp is safe enough, I promise. Thanks for the concern, though! It's appreciated. (Lady Iguana)

  • doesnt it bite??

  • My guys never bite...they're lovers, not biters!

  • they can be funny i've got a video like this of my godzilla trying to catch the ig in the mirror it gets alot of laughs from kids at the iggy talks i do at librarys

  • cool

  • might be funny but dangerous, my mate had a lizard, (dunno wich tipe) but it saw the reflection of itsself in a mirror rand at it and like died from the impact :/

  • yep in my video my Godzilla broke the mirror and it fell on him, he didn't get hurt but i show it not only cause its funny but at the end people learn a lesson form it cause they really can get hurt and when i show it at library talks i always make sure they get that point

  • i seen that..it scared the shit outa me when i seen the mirror fall.glad godzilla was ok tho :D

  • I agree...mirrors and iguanas don't mix...but it was soooooo funny!

  • Ive been researching igs now for like 3 years and know so much i ve already had 3 lizards .and i am saving up money 4 an iguana and 9 ft. long cage but my parents wont let me get 1 sucks ay

  • You really do allow them "free" roam of the house don't you? I thought you were kiddin'.

Unfortunately, we don't allow ours "free" roam. Sometimes we allow them their special "free" time outside their aquariums. Especially "holding & cuddling" time. Which they enjoy. Or at least "most" of them do... not quite all "yet" :) Thanks for sharing this video. Your truly outdoing yourself. Please keep on making more videos. Thanks!

By the way, 5 star rating & 2 thumbs way up.

  • Nope. I wouldn't want to be in a cage,why should they?

  • I get your drift. Hopefully, sometime after really giving our house a good cleaning. We're going to allow some of our iguanas to "free roam." Only the ones who will play "nice" with each other. But some of our stinkers. May have to still be seperated from our "nice" iguanas. Otherwise, we may have some very unhappy "free roamers" Which I would like to keep from happening. Did all of your iguanas get along quite well? Did you have any serious problems? Thanks for responding. Your New Friend. WI

  • LadyIguana

can you make a video of your largest record-holding iguana?

and can you also show your iguana's tricks?

  • Goliath is in The Family Iguana...not one of my best, but he is there.

  • they can be very moody i'd recomend a bearded dragon if you want a good lizard plus you have to put the in a huge cage or give them free roam if u give them free roam they will want to get into anything and everything

  • They can be moody when in their breeding period or when not really in daily contact with humans. However, iguanas make great lizard pets if you put the time into it!! I spend at least a half an hour everyday in making his food (collard greens, carrots, acorn squash, bananas or grapes, and alphalpha suppliment from Petco. And I have been doing this for almost five years now. My iguana is potty trained to go in the bath tub so he doesn't stink the room. I'll make some videos sometime later...

  • wonderful!

  • moody, yes...but worth it!!

  • Yo ladyiguana! What is are the hard things about taking care of an iguana?? Can i feed them just any fruit or vegetable? Wat about rotten ones? Do they scratch? Do they stink up the entire terrerium? Is maintaining the temperature hard? What temp should it be kept at? How should i convince my parents to let me have an iguana? Tell me pros and cons plz.

  • would you eat rotten ones? You feed them good, healthy food, keep their enviroment clean and give them all the love you can..that's how you get a good iguana

  • Amazing animal! Love it!

  • how funny my favorite part is the song in your video, MJ is my favorite!!!

  • Iguana's fighting their reflection can cause stress... However, I do find it entertaining to occasionally show my ig his reflection. I think my iggy would eventually break the mirror by charging at the glass if I kept him if front of the mirror long enough... Nice looking iggy though!

  • I agree. This was more for the video than a daily occurence.

  • the uv light of my iguanas aquarium fused, but im currently using a regular light bulb, is it safe? thanks

  • i c were it say u run a rescue i have 2 iguanas and 1 broke her tail but its still hangin on and the other lost his completely will the broken on heal and will his go back plz message me back to my screen name on here

  • lovely iguanas , i am planning to buy one , do u advise me to do so ?

but i am little bit hesitant , as i heard that iguanas become agressive and bite sometimes especially in the breeding season , is that true ?

Another thing i heard whed u leave your iguana for like 2 weeks they get agressive and you need to tame it all over again , is this true ?

And which is better , to have a male or a female iguana ?

    Thank u so much

  • Iguanas make great pets, but they take alot of

care. What u heard is true, but u can deal with it. I am a green iguana vet. I run a rescue for abandoned iguanas out of my home and have 20, so I guess I am an expert on them.

U can email me here and start a line of conversation.

I recommend you buy "The Iguana Handbook" by Bartlett and Bartlett or buy my book on cd, "The Invasion of the Green Iguana". They are the best books on the market.

    Patience is the Key!!!

  • 2 males. I have a yard of cloth that is full of my sweat and never washed. During breeding season, I give it to them, and since they consider me a female iguana, they mate with it instead of trying to mate with me. Yes, they can be quite a handful during breeding season. Thanks.

  • i'm scared from my male iguana in mating sessions. he becomes so agressive cool male one you have

  • How about a comment?

  • did they ever mate?

  • both are male. They just learned to get along.

  • p.s. the orange one is the alpha male in the house. the green is submissive to him. he'll stay away from Pugsley during breeding season, but the rest of the year, they are the best of friends. they even sleep together. unusual for males...never in the wild...but they have to live in the same house, so they learned to get along. it's just a matter of treating them like a child; when they want to fight, you seperate them and get them intrested in something else...like the iguana in the mirror.
