You shouldn't blame the plane. If you check out my video, my PBY Flew great! I think you should have taken off away form the shore, it kind of confined you and I think got you panicked when you ran out of room to move the plane. I recommend you rebuild and give it another go.

Make sure the radio didn't get wet. Run it for awhile if you think it even had one drop.

they are 1100KV motors

Should try to take off into wind and not pointed at the shore/trees/embankment. Nice plane though!! Keep practicing
