  • Im deff getting one again i had the best birth experiance with my daughter .with my son im deff getting it

  • I'm due in June with my first child, and with the way my mom and other females describe labor pains I think sittin still for a injection in the back is well worth it. I have a extremely low pain tolerance level. I cry over cramps so I KNOW I'm getting an epidural. You didn't flinch or anything gave me a sense of comfort and hope for this whole process good job!

  • Trust me, that needle is nothing compared to the actual birth.. stay strong, you can do it.

  • I couldn't watch. Oh gosh I'm terrified of needles how am I going to get one??? I freak out just getting my finger pricked...

  • hurts but its worth it!!

  • My epidural did not hurt at all! I felt nothing at all!

  • brave gl,,

  • I had one with my last 2 of 3 boys and I found that the more you lean forward the easier it is to deal with when they insert it in your back, or at least for me it did. My first one I had a midwife and didn't have any kind of pain killer at all. Epidurals work wonders on having a much easier and comfortable birth by far. I had to be induced every time and the midwife or dr had to break my water too. Pain or no pain I still would have my 3 boys anyway. It was worth every minute of it.

  • N my daughter having her first birthday next month :)

  • Ohhhh for every1 I heard to much negative about epidural with my family members belongs from medical field I strongly decided not to go with epidural but at the time I need to be induced n that pain was soo strong n painful I was all alone my midwife suggest me to have epidural after 5 hours they gave me n that dosen't worked n my half body :( they again gave some doze n in 12 hours of labour i got 4 doze after my daughter born I start walking with in 3 hours since that I didn't face any proble

  • You are very brave Shalyne. Really I'm 34 weeks and scared half to death of what is going to happen to me in 6 weeks. The whole needle epidural thing and the contractions. O lord just watching you go through that made me wanna just go admit myself now and just get it over with. You are so brave to to take that. Did u even feel it?

  • Im scared to have an epidural because it is a higher chance of getting a Csec and i most definatly dont want that!! How long after till she could walk???

  • @Teparakura more likely to have a csection when you go all natural and it is too late to get one you are not breathing properly and your in agony the baby will be in distress and do thing that will require a emergency c section. My cousin did it natural for 9 hours she was in agony the whole time she could not breathe properly through contractions and she was screaming and could not move bc of the pain her son heart-rate decelerated and he in distress& she had to have emergency c-section

  • it may hurt a little bit, but i think this woman was somehow scared at the begining but later it was ok

  • wooow you're soo brave!

im due in a week, and my sister has told me stories about the epidural, and how much its gonna "hurt".. but, id rather get a needle done, than sit in labour pain for several hours.

i think if someone is able to get a tattoo done, or go through different surgeries requiring to get a needle, it should be a piece of cake for them.

  • how bad did the hole thing hurt.. im 5 months and planing on getting Epidural and im afraid

  • Oh my goodness...i know you were crying but you were so brave...I've had one natural birth already but my baby was only 1lb 14oz...i wanna have another baby so bad but i dnt know if i should get and epidural...i'm really scared

  • I had three boys without epidural!! With my fourth boy It was induce labor and o boy induce labor is more painful than natural labor so I had have the epidural, I always being scare of epidurals, but I tell you it was a fast and easy, but I don't know if I will have another epidural now I have back pain most everyday. Induce labor is way more painful than natural the bright side of induce labor is that I got my doctor with me at that moment.

  • dont do natural i did it with noe epidural and i regretted it im due for my 2nd and im having twins and i will for sure be gettin an epidural

  • That doctor is super! He did it so fast, I'm not scared to get one now if my doctor can do it like him! :D

  • Brave mom.

  • im so scared of gettin an epidural!!!! im due in june and i still dotn know of im goin natural or getting the epidural

  • Omg your so brave am extremely scared of needles you have no idea how terafied. Just by watching this video I feel like I want to faint NO LIE !!!

  • I hope it doesnt hurt so much! I cant handle pain at all!!! DX Im sooooo scared! I even have nightmares about the epidural!!!

  • trust me this is all worth it but i must say it's very painful having contractions & getting that needle in your back at the same time

  • Oh, how I dread this, haha! I'm being induced Dec. 3rd (if my son doesn't come by then)! I'm terrified of the epidural, but I can't handle pain at all, so I'm going for it. It looks like your daughters was over in a flash! At least it doesn't take too long :) Thanks so much for the video; she gives me more courage to do this!

  • @mcgranahan thats when my friend was due although her blood pressure was high so they had to induce it three or four days early sorry its past the 3rd now but i hope you and your son have a happy life

  • omg, i will probably cry, lol. i'm only a few months pregnant and im only 13, i might have to get a c-section.

  • @misswiccian1990 You're only 13! Wow. You'll be just fine and it's totally fine if you cry! It can feel so scary! But remember it's only a few min. That's insane to think when you're child is 20 you'll only be 33! I wish you the best and hope you have tons and tons of support!!!

  • @misswiccian1990 you need your ass whooped

  • I had an epidural with my first son. I had previously had a compression fracture in my lower spinal vertebrae, causing scar tissue. This made the insertion of needle difficult & stressful to me. I was gasping in pain each time they tried, but most of that was from nervous tension, After getting the epidural, I was not 'asleep', but I was almost in a drunken state of consciousness. With my 9 lb, 15 oz 2nd son, I had a VBAC delivery with no epidural. No epidural was better for me, but......

  • did it hurt? i'm almost 7months and i'm afraid that getting the epidural is going to hurt.

  • @JadeElric This is my daughter - she says the epidural did hurt while being inserted, but after that - it was all gravy - and she barely felt a thing. Epidurals are not just a one time shot like they used to be. It's more like an IV drip which can be increased or decreased as needed.

  • @shawnls1 Thanks. i'll be dreading that part but at least it doesn't look as it last that long. thanks for the reply ^_^

  • @shawnls1 wow, I didn't know that about the epidurals. I'm so scared to have a baby. Tell your daughter thanks these videos help!

  • @JadeElric That Epidural was nothing compared to the contractions, which i'm sure you already found out :) Did you get the epidural or were you brave enough to go without? I had to get it, it was terrible for me.

  • @anaira3 well fortunately and unfortunately I didn't have the time to get an epidural. my contractions started at 1am and went straight to 3mins apart. my son was born at 2:52am that same morning. crazy thing was i had a 45min drive to the hospital (my husband drove). the mid-wife had to break my water. good thing it didn't break at home or the car or i would have had a car baby. lol. thank you for your advice though. yay for babies!!!

  • @JadeElric

the injection did sting but not as bad as the pain of childbirth and labour the pain of the injection becomes minor and i was in so much pain i did not feel the inject so much. but after the injection of the epidural was heaven it was smooth sailing i was able to sleep during labour and i was so relaxed after the epidural took effect and breathing returned to normal. What should scare you is the episotomy and the damaged vagina you are going to get afterwords.

  • @davidkat100 lol thanks for the advice but my lil one is over a 1yr now so i found out all about it. ^_^ (oh and i don't have this user name anymore, not just some random person responding)

  • aw she looks like she is sooo scared
