  • When I was a teen, I resolved to not have kids till I got married. I didn't want to bring another human into this world if I was not ready to fully and properly care for it. I lost my virginity at 29 years old, but I have kept that resolution even now at my "advanced age", lol, and I don't regret it!

  • abstinence+wedding +church= loneliness. please all u sisters stop this nonsense. this remind me of the women movement in the past which they use to divide and conquer black brothers and sisters. here is a list i have for u b/w: love yself your black men more than you love jesus. change your behavior and show more female behavior we are not your enemy. please check this video

    I THOUGHT YA'LL ALREADY KNEW...........NO MUSIC.

  • The sad thing is a lot of these fatherless children like myself and my cousins come from marriages

  • I personally support this movement. One commented and said, why should she deprive herself from having a child when men nowadays are afraid of comittment. Anyone who says this doesn't have patience or faith in God. We tend to panic and take things into our own hands when things don't seem too right, not knowing what the future holds. I know who holds my future, so I'll wait on Him who gives me life...

  • Also a proper respect of sex and marriage comes in the gospel centered life because one realizes that God uses marriage to illustrate the relationship between Christ and the church. This and the order set forth in creation makes clear that God greatly esteems marriage and ordains the family structure. women of God are not called to be baby momma's and men are not supposed to be baby daddy's. Anything that doesn't fit is due to sin. Period.

  • The proper motivation should be the gospel centered life. In that purity is esteemed because it brings glory to the Lord on whom your affections and love(agape not eros)should be set. When your heart is after Him sin (i.e fornication) should be detested.

  • So what then is the proper motivation? For those who repent and believe on the gospel of Christ, it is for love of the Lord that His commandments are kept. Not to prove ourselves worthy but for fear and reverence of the Lord. this video (although positive in its motive) is similar to a hot dog. It may do well to satisfy the hunger but it provides no real nutrients. If the motivation to abstain is the finite human will then that is inconsistent and done to no ultimate benefit.

  • I think this video lacks the proper motivation. This video gives false anthropology of who ANY of us are. Whether male or female our intrinsic value because of sin is that of a wretched sinner. Man or woman you are not royalty for none is sovereign but the Lord thy God,but in all actuality you are in enmity with God and a fallen sinner. There is no inward beauty in the unrepentant man or woman because God views the not the appearance but the posture of the heart.

  • I am a single black female who is also a single parent(by choice). I truley believed no wedding no womb and at 30 had to prospects of marriage. And that is when I made the choice. To have a child. I may never be anyone's wife(not by choice) but must I deprive myself the chance of being a mother because men are having problems with commitment? This is a double edged sword! And as black woman if we wait for our men we will be waiting a long time!

  • @piaebony327 stop waiting for "our men" and just find a good man with the values and character you are looking for in a husband and/or father...this whole race thing is silly

  • If I recall back then when blacks had a much higher marriage rate the African American community was still poor. Here are real issues in the black community: Why are HBCU's not creating any Black Bill Gate's & economical opportunity in the community? Why are black women getting abortions are alarming rates? why do we train our children to work for non-black businesses?

  • I LOVE the message however, it almost invalidates the women that have had/having/will have children w/o being married. Though I am an unmarried woman without children, I know of some women that fit the descriptions in this beautiful video that are single mothers ( having never been married). Interesting and dynamic piece to say the least.

  • Why are these women lying to themselves?

  • @GOPFORCEDABORTIONS

well, here is one sister in the church who is abstaining. *raises hand*

and yeah, I agree with you about White people not waiting for marriage either...our ENTIRE society has completely gone away from those kinds of ideals...because we've completely gone away from God.

However, when I heard that 72% of Black children are currently born out of wedlock (compared to 28% White children in '07) that was amazing. Our collective families lack stability. The reason is "WHY"?

  • Love the message. Hope it works

  • I love my friends of other colors from other mothers. YOU are all true.

  • Excellent reminder of what women of all ages have to offer the world when they are loved and wanted by both parents. Make it a habit not to respond to You Tube trolls. They are out spreading the messages of hate all over the site unfortunately. Just press the BLOCK button and be sure to go back and delete all their comments. Great message.

  • Thank you for this wonderful video. I appreciate the beauty of all the women and girls in the video and support them making their declaration to the world. Wow is all I can say. Thanks again!
