Leave your gratuitous comments out,how many young men like rob would take the trouble and time to play and upload his playing of these great old hymns.A name like Mr Trunkstrunks says it all.perhaps you could do better i for one is waiting. Keep up the excellent work rob.5 stars to you.
They never have their own videos. Great play, Rob. Usually I hear those words to a different melody. I know this melody to different words too. "O the deep deep love of Jesus". That's in Evangelical Hymns, but there are alternatives in there too.
@usenetposts I suspect you hear it to the tune "Pennant". I last heard this more than a decade ago, at the 1997 Bala Eisteddfod. I just regret being too young to appreciate it at the time - had I known what I was in for, I'd have studied the Welsh words and practised beforehand. Dad would like me to speak Welsh fluently, mind - but I live in bloody Yorkshire!
Anyway, superb job and it's spine-tingling to hear it belting out again after these years.
Another idiot who has no videos to his name I see Rob! Scared of what WE will say about HIS playing perhaps?? I think so! Mr Trunkstrunks (stupid name) - shut up!
Well Guess what. Me & Zeus are on top of Cader Idris again Rob.
Keep playing.
