@CarlosD1995 yeh but i'd dislocated my shoulder around 6 times previously, so all the ligaments are basically torn, and it's really difficult for ligaments to heal fully, and yeah that's why it dislocated doing this

exercise then no.Buy some dumbbells do dumbbell exercise i have been doing dumbbell exercise for quite a while and have toned muscle..Just be patient with building your muscles.

Because he's having to use his entire core strength to plant that foot against the wall and keep his body stable. To rest your feet on a bed or a chair would undermine the whole purpose of the exercise.
