I guess The Rock jumped to RAW because SmackDown! is a family program while RAW (and WWE Pay-per-view) was a adults-only program (filled with extreme profanity, graphic violence and explicit suggestive dialouge, where you don't find that on SmackDown! or Today's WWE).
