It was once POURING rain and I threw this world's music on. It really fit the mood of running through the torrential downpour. And I think this game has a lot of music that's very reminiscent of Sonic's old themes, this being the best example.
I used to play Sonic Colors like once or twice a month until I made it to Aquarium Park Act 1. I just started to LOVE this game because of this music and play that board over and over, drowning myself near the end.
@lockhart1433 It's not that difficult to predict the sequence, though. The fact that earthquakes can cause tsunamis was well known even before the tragedy in Japan.
@hydrolythe Yeah, I believe you're referring to the Seikan Tunnel. I've never been in it myself, but I have heard of it since I was stationed in Japan for 18 months when I was in the Marine Corps. Iwakuni to be specific.
Music from Sonic games: -StH: Sweet and classic -StH2: Nice -StH3 (&K): Nicer -S3DB: Surprisingly Sweet -KC: Sweet (Though a bit repetitive) -SCD (USA): Awesome! -SCD (JP): AWESOME! -SA: Kinda meh -SA2 : Total meh -SH: Ugh! -ShtH (Shadow the Hedgehog): MY EARS ARE BLEEDING! -StH (2006): More meh -SatSR: UGH! -SatBK: MORE UGH! -SU: meh -StH4: Not bad, but sounds old -SC: Wow a modern Sonic game music I like?? I LOVE it. BEST Sonic game music, hands down.
This is why I love Sonic music above all else. Something about it just leaps out, grabs your attention and holds it. Something I don't get much from other video game music....
Thanks for adding this up man, and commenting about Sonic Generations. Looks like Sega is finally understanding what they should have done many embarrassing failed attempts before.
The composer for this song you listed is slightly wrong, Tomoya Ohtani alone created this song. Kenichi Tokoi and Fumie Kumatani worked on other songs on the soundtrack.
Aquarium Park is a good example of something you'd rather see in a video game than in real life. The idea of an underwater Japan was cool and everyone liked it. Then a good portion of Japan actually did end up under water. Nobody liked it.
@IshidaTheQuincy Wow. Just... wow. How are people like this allowed to exist? Thanks for showing this to me. Honestly, I was apprehensive about posting my previous comment as I felt it may have been too insensitive. After seeing her though, I don't feel like such a jerk.
@MikeELtheGamer Sir, your comment had me laughing so hard I cried. Thank you for easily making my whole night, and the highlight of the day. Congrats.
@skyjlv The irony of it all. If you think I laughed in the sense of "Ha ha Japan drowned" you'd be dead wrong considering I had friends admist the actual travesty and was quite poorly impacted on a personal level. However, time has passed and even if it hadn't we all need to deal with disaster somehow and me freaking and saying I'm sorry about something I had no control over wouldn't help. Only thing I can and could do was cheer myself up and humor helps with that a lot. PS, friends are A-OK. :)
@NHKBlackStar Not really. I was just pointing out the fact that the coincidental link between the design choice for the Aquarium Park and the tragedy in Japan was a bit ironic. A lot of people seem to think I was trying to be funny though. I was expect any responses to be nods of agreement, not laughter.
After a good decade that couldn't have lasted longer, Sonic's making a comeback. Sonic 4, Colors, and from the looks of it, Generations are all as great as the old games.
I haven't played this game but I know it's actually a good entry in the Sonic franchise, which is always good to hear after all the failed attempts. Sonic Generations is looking pretty nice as well, I admit I'm mostly interested in the Classic gameplay over the Modern gameplay from the videos I've seen. That and I can't wait to check out the soundtrack, that Green Hill Zone remix sounded nice.
@SupraDarky It's not as good as people say. It definitely shows signs that Sonic Team is learning how to make a good Sonic game, but they still have some work ahead of them.
@charger619c There's actually plenty of people like that, like myself, only we don't make obnoxious rants or rave forums, shoving our opinions in people's faces to make sure we're known like the retro fans, so maybe that's why we're not so known....
This is my favorite zone of any Sonic game. It surpasses even Generations's City Escape, imo.

@MikeELtheGamer Did you know that there is an underwater tunnel in Japan? Cause this would be a reason how sonic colours comes at this idea.
