Man i love my Les Paul its my Baby!!! its the highest end epiphone i had it all pro rewired new pots and toggle switch Seymour's alnico low output pickups and grover tuners which is a must for les paul. I love it LP just sound so fucking sweet when to get all set up all that. They a lot of money because when you see a guy walk on with a burst come on not many other guitars do that other than Gretch
PLZ PLAY IN CLEAN, OR IN CHORUS, OR IN WAHWAH, OR IN CHORUS......... PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
in fact it is a les paul standard 2008 . it´s just the the version with the faded finish . It´s not worse the "normal" standard , there´s just no gloss on the maple top and on the back . Go check it out ! it´s really not that much difference ! (by the way , the satin on the back of this one , in my opinion feels a lot smoother than the glossy back of the "usual" Standard .
Hey great guitar. Nice rich sound. Its cool how you added blues in with the rock. Great harmonics (I am not totally sure what harmonics means lol). I need to get back into playing (Im 13 yrs old). What amplifier did you use?
Dude if you take lessons, learn scales, master them, and all that good crap like im starting to do, you can basically play anything you can imagine (Im not kidding, its true). That guy did not look up on the internet what he is playing. It came naturally from practice. You cant just find those exact riffs somewhere or learn how to play them overnight.
@abm92296 who gave clapton lessons. i was having lessons once a week good teacher as well. dident work for me .not been a dick. here. it can come naturally. i know some wicked self taught boys.rock on,,,,,
@MsChrissummerfield Im self taught myself as well, for most of the things i do. I spend more time jammin' out on my keyboard MIDI synth, which I have no lessons or organized knowledge on. I just have been playing it for so long and I understand different dynamics naturally so I end up coming out with some really sick stuff. I was just saying that the scales allow you to have sort of a baseline to reference on if you want to learn a riff or something out of your favorite songs quickly.
I was referring to some of the first humbuckers made by Gibson back in 1957 commonly called P.A.F.s (Patent Applied For). A standard from '97 like you mentioned would have these kind of pickups and would sound more "vintage", where a studio would sound slightly more modern.
the standard comes with burstbuckers which sound more like old paf buckers and the studio comes with 490 and 498 which are a little more agressive. i like the burstbuckers since they have a little more character.
Man, what a tone! Heartbreaker sounds awesome! I'm thinking about getting a Gibson Standard or a R8. Well, of course the R8 is better, but here in my country it costs 40% more than a standard. Do you think a normal standard is already a good choice? Cheers!
What came stock? Dimarzio super distortion bridge? Hard to tell from the pic? One more thing, what are you playing at 3:35, I know I know it, but I can't remember name. cheers from TX!
"Dude!" Lol. Nice playing. I am now even more convinced that I require a LP.
I'm a Strat Guy and notice some Strat sounds--care to mention the rest of the rig?
