# 50 in the list of 50 Greatest Cartoons. Also the first cartoon to cameo Hollywood personalities, to be seen later in lots of cartoons, like Tex Avery's Hollywood Steps Out from 1956.
Anyone know where i can buy this or download it? the full this i mean. its a good watch and thats why felix the cat is one of the worlds most recognizable cartoon characters
@corwinorr That would be former Postmaster General William H Hays, who was, by 1922, President of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA), an institution whose primary function is censorship and ratings.
Felix's method for increasing shoe sales is similar to the window glass salesman who shoots out store windows at night, or the tire salesman who sprinkles nails on the street.
Really? I'm taking that class too, except my school calls it Cinema 106. I have to watch it for an exam. Complicated exam really, there's multiple choice, fill-in-blank, true or false, and match-up. What makes it different from all other exams though is that the teacher shows a scene from a film and we have to guess what it is and answer his questions about it (usually 'who made it' or 'when did it come out').
This is a silent film, 'Kawaii'. True, you'd enjoy it more if an appropriate musical score accompanied it (either piano, organ, or full orchestra), but there are none in this version. The "cross-eyed" gent is a caricature of Ben Turpin, and there's Charlie Chaplin {"Stealing my stuff, eh?"}, and dashing Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (tied to a post) at the end.
Because you have opened this... you will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life... if you don't break the chain. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't send this to at least 10 people by the stroke of midnight tonight you will be forever cursed in love. Just copy and paste this.. Good Luck!
is there supposed to be no sound?

@fromthesidelines Who are the other ones? The boss, the director, the star in the dressing room?? Anybody know?
camilelcoyne 1 year ago
@camilelcoyne Will Hays, Mack Sennett and Gloria Swanson. Can't tell you who the director at the end is, though. It's neither DeMille nor Griffith.
