@Sheeton1 do your research hun, it's common for mals and wolf hybrids as well as several other breeds who typically have upright ears to have floppy ears. Some people choose to tape or crop to correct this but the dogs should not be bred. There was a research conducted on foxes that showed that the more "domesticated" foxes ears were less erect than the "wild" foxes who were for the most part unapproachable. I have a mal cross like this one and her ears never stood though her parents did.
More of my point is the owner never stated that the dog was an award winning show dog in any way. This is entirely the thinking that causes thousands of mals and shepards to be euthenized because their ears were born too large or positioned awkwardly. The sad thing is most "wolf-dogs" are bred through poor breeding stocks because any die-hard mal breeder wouldn't allow tampering the breed for hybirds, so yes this dog and mine are probably derived from poorly bred malmute breeding stocks.
My Malamute, Grey Wolf cross does the same thing in the snow. He goes full speed, and then throws himself on his back to tobbogan done a hill. This is a really fun cross if you like higher maintenance dogs. (they need alot of attention/activity)
that looks EXACTLY like my dog i did some research and our dogs would be called wolamutes lol yes my dog is just like that although he has brown dapples on his snout

@peugirafe I've seen many wolves and malamutes in my lifetime, I've never seen one of either with ears as floppy or wide as those on this animal.
If your malamute's ears don't stand straight up [and it's not the result of an injury], then you own a poorly bred malamute.
