I learned this piece years ago from a "Yes" album. I wrote it out note for note. Incredibly, I still have the music! Thanks for posting and for bringing back some fond memories! -Derek
Yes, poor style on my part I know. Not good with arpegios as someone earlier mentioned. I think I do better on other pieces that are more standard picking pieces.
I guess determine your budget and type of guitar you want and then try out a whole bunch with reputable guitar stores. For classical among other things you want the right kinds of wood, a straight fretboard, no cracks in the finish, no broken struts inside, no gaps under the bridge, tuning works well - find a good dealer and try to do some research. Mine's a cheapish Yamaha ($400). This link might help as a start http://www.faqs.org/faqs/music/classical/guitar/faq/
Much better than I could do! Pretty nice really. Although, I agree with Kurwenal that the tempo/pacing could use some work. Also, try adding the body taps. Although subtle, I think they add quite a bit.
Thanks! Useful criticism. I tend to play things too fast when I get nervous in the tricky spots and the result is poor overall pacing. I agree about the body taps - just watched a video of Steve Howe playing this - awesome!
The notes are correct, on the contrary the tempo and rhythm are not that good.. As for the sound, though I see you own a Kohno guitar (I guess 1977, as well as me), it is surely hard to play scales and arpeggios using only one (rarely two) finger(s) for all the notes.. In fact the sound is quite dirty.. I suggest you to practice scale and arpeggios tecnique, so that your playing would be surely fluider.. Regards
Not bad! Keep on playin! :-)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone hardly use their index finger like you do and play classic guitar, but the notes sound right.

nice, but I really think you have to pay attention to the sound of your strings and the noises of your fingers.

Thanks for the comment and useful tips. I'll try this and also try to re-arrange the fingering on this piece as you suggest.
