At the time I made this vid I was using a supertalker-k type...I've moved on to a much better custom made now...I'm using a pyle pro audio mid range compression driver pds-521and a 40 watt amp..which gives me a loud talkbox with a nice low-end and nice mids and highs... :-)

At the time this vid was made...I think I was using a Super talker-K, Then I made one using Pyle pds/772 mid range compression driver and parts from Home depot to make a tube holder with a 40 watt amp from radio shack. It's still my setup currently.

thats what I started with too...but the pyle is way too heavy...now Im movin on up like George n Weezy, cuz now I use a Golden Throat 2 Driver and a Power Crate Amp...sick sound...

Well the one that you see in this vid are the yamaha motif and dx100 which I used at the time for talkboxing,but I use a korg radias for talkboxing and vocoding and beats along with the motif,reasons 4 and protools. But you can make a bad ass talkbox yourself bro...it's not hard at all.

you don't talk at all actually, just move your mouth as if you were talking, and the sound of the keyboard,guitar, or whatever you have hooked to the talkbox with play in your mouth, and as you mouth out words without speaking, you'll see...the instrument makes your "voice"

Sorry for taking to long to answer your question. Some people use the fm sawtooth or the hard brass and modify the portamento values along with the pitch and modulation wheels. And a lot people use Roger's codes for the dx100 also.

Not really....the webcam mic does a good job for posting on youtube if you get a really good one such as the ones from creative labs.If your recording into audio gear or software and of course live,then you need a mic.
