@BigMariB These are amazing for working out/jogging, whatever you do. The unique shape of the bud allows it to STAY in your ear no matter what. As for your question, I would definitely suggest them for running. I have done it before and they're fine. Sweat won't damage them, as far as I know. But that's from my experience.

These 100% i also have the tours and these sound way better. bass is roughly the same but much cleaner and more crisp and the tours after using for about a month and at every part where the cable connects to a separator it is staring to tear so go with the Bose!!! they are cheeper in price but better in quality (sound/physical)
Just got a pair of these today. Sound is VERY clear and crisp. Not for people who are looking for noise isolating earphones. Bass is not as heavy as the Klipsche S4's, although these headphones are one of the most balanced earphones i've ever tried. Buy this if you prefer balance over bass, you won't regret it.

The bass is AWESOME! if you listen to hiphop and dubstep and all that music with good bass this is it, i have tried many of them, they were good, but the bass and all that in this earphones is awesome, not really for classic music but yea, dubstep and hiphop music with bass, nothing beats these, believe me.
@OzcarMtl yup hade the skullcrushers twice and both of the gold plated plugs fell apart. so those sucked. but the titans were pretty much the only good thing they have. thats why im turning back to bose.
@jdh10475 I bought s4's from bestbuy the other week.. I bought them for running primarily and I wanted a headphone with high fidelity audio. Unless you have the perfect sized ear canals it will be really difficult to get a snug fit that won't fall our during activity. The S4's are rear vented and pick up a lot of wind noise and if they aren't sealed well the bass is non existent. The bose's have more bass and fit perfectly and do not even get loose when running. Get the bose, more versatile

Another big plus for the bose is that they don't pick up noise when the cord is rubbed like many in-ear designs. I absolutely love my ie2's, so much better than the s4's imo. After trying both I can understand why people who listen to classical a lot would enjoy the s4's more. However for rock, electronic, and hip/hop go with the ie2's
Dude, I got to have these earphones! I have the Bose Series 2 bluetooth and it has the same earpiece as this and it's awesome. It's the best thing about the bluetooth besides the great quality sound.

do the inserts in the new ones fit on the old headphones? the sound of the old ones was amazing but they inserts are a bit slippery for the gym and exercising.

@CrazyAce381 I purchased the bose sound cancenlling headphones for 300$ 9 years ago, the plastic on those broke 2 months later, i called bose to see if they can repair it for me, they sent me new ones without asking 1 question. And those lasted me 6 years before I could break them, well the leather and the plastic on it, the sound quality is still as amazing as it was on the day i bought them. I still dont have the heart to throw them away. Bose is AMAZING period.
I just got these they are super comfortable and after like 20 seconds you cant even tell your wearing anything, their really clear and great sound quality and only cost me $90 so the price is okay and comes with different sizes and a case so not too bad. And make sure you look at the package and it says Bose IE2 ONLY because the other one is MIE2i and that's really for iphone and you can answer and end phone calls with it and its like $30 more. To me its a 19/20 only because if price lol.

i had original n 2nd gnrtion and i was compared both of them..off course the original in-ear sounds are better than 2nd (more bass)...but most problems from 1st gnration is silicone always come off..and 2nd gnrtion are more comfort. summary, to get better sound and fit in my ear i move my silicone 2nd gnrtion to my original in-ear..:)

@mah4283 I've never tried the ones you mentioned but these get louder then I will ever want them to be. But you might want to try it first since you are hearing impaired. The other thing it they are much louder when plugged into my computer then on my iPod.

@crocha87 They changed the wire by the headphones jack to make it tougher and they changed the electronic thingy on the wire itself to make it cleaner and more durable, i wouldn't worry about the wires breaking.. go for it, and if it does break bose will warranty them

@kpbrian79 The built in mic on the ipod will still work with the headphones plugged in, unless you have the MIE2/i then the microphone on that will work.

@AirsoftSniper727 I was about to buy Beats because they're the "thing" right now, but checked the reviews on Amazon, and it completely changed my mind, I got these without thinking about it twice, and I have to say I love them, best headphones I've ever had. No doubt!
If you want great quality and a great price, don't look further. Is all I have to say.

Hey! Thinking about getting these... Does they block your ear canal, so you wont be able to get any ear through? I have problem with the normal in-ear headphones cause they create a pressure in my ear canal...The same way as if youre sitting in a plane..

@player0092 I never tried the Beats but based on other reviews, the Beats bass drounds out the rest of the music and the Bose are much more comfortable. So Bose are better.

i've used the Sony ear bud headphones MDRED12LP/S model and love them but i saw these in best buy and i am curious. would u say that these earbuds r better than the ones i just mentioned? or even louder? cuz i am hearing impaired and the sony so far r the best ones i've used

@mah4283 I've never tried the ones you mentioned but these get louder then I will ever want them to be. But you might want to try it first since you are hearing impaired. The other thing it they are much louder when plugged into my computer then on my iPod.

NICE video, finally someone who realizes that bose is better than beats, beats ARE really good headphones but all they did was take premium sound quality speakers and put them into headphones, they took technology that was discovered by companies like sennheiser, BOSE, and others and made headphones, Bose is CONSTANTLY researching and doscovering new ways to make headphones with INSANE sound quality, while beats put that into a headphone, slap on a dr. dre logo and claim theyre the best, FAKE!!!

@chrisd814 ; yeah definitly these, i have the 1st ones and theyre better than any in ears ive ever listened too id seriously compare them to sennheisers these are probably even better, the quality of the sound is better than any over the head headphones ive listened to as well, the only thing better about over the head is that they have better base (dont get me wrong though, my 1st gen bose have ridiculous base too and not for theyre size, just great base) over the head are noise cancel

I'm debating wether to buy them or not... Do you think they've made any changes to the wires...? Cause I've got the previous ones and that kind of rubber that covers them is too soft and they got wasted so fast...!

@crocha87 They changed the wire by the headphones jack to make it tougher and they changed the electronic thingy on the wire itself to make it cleaner and more durable, i wouldn't worry about the wires breaking.. go for it, and if it does break bose will warranty them

But have a question: I got the first generation, or better i had, they dont work anymore, so now im asking myself wether i should buy the first generation again or buy the second. Because the first is cheaper.
Everyone is saying that the new ones dont have a big bass and i liked the big bass.
so could you tell me if its still good?

@thealexmaster100 go with the new ones, they are much more comfortable and I think these have more bass because of 2 more openings for air over the first one.

i dunno if you have ipod touch, but if you use this headphone on the ipod, does the built in mic on the ipod touch work? or do you have to unplug the headset for the mic to work?

@kpbrian79 The built in mic on the ipod will still work with the headphones plugged in, unless you have the MIE2/i then the microphone on that will work.
