what do ya have your high pass filter set at? I gotta pair of focal power series and right now i have it set at around 120hz and want to drop it down to about 100hz but dont wanan risk too damaging them.. im paranoid since they cost a lot!

You should be ok at 100hz, if you listen to them loudly... then maybe not, it is up to you. You should be able to easily tell if it is too much for them if anything "bad" sounding comes out, 120-100Hz isn't that much of a difference though :)
