We have one of those Oil filled electric heaters we will turn on in the bedroom on those really cold nights. Our cats will just love to snuggle up close to it and take in the warmth. Otherwise they will crawl under the sheets with us and warm our feet :)
Oh dear, your poor kitty seems Chi deficient. And please don't feed IAMS, its one of the worst commercial foods there is. I see too many come to my clinic because of poor diets, sometimes it is too late by the time I see them. It would be lovely to home-cook for your kitty, since you love to cook and all, but if you can't, try Acana or at least Blue Buffalo. BTW, love your shows. XOXO

So my dog was overweight and the diet dog food worked great for her, so maybe it's the brand? I feed her Nutro Natural Choice, maybe they have a cat diet food too. But then again, he looks so healthy and happy, and he's really not that overweight, I only say so because you mention it in the description....
He is really cute. I like the "puddin'" spot on his nose. My cat's name is Mr. Pibb. We feed him Nutro Max food, but we'll sometimes give him little treats like a lick of sour cream. He loves it. He also likes to play in running water--kind of wierd! Happy Holidays!
I babysat someone elses cat the other day, they got them back home, started smelling their cat, and were like.. You SCENTED my cat! oops, I do love carpet fresh, sprays and plug-ins! LOL
To answer your questions: I have only one cat at the moment. I would love many more, but if they don't get along with Nohea, they are gone. She is the princess. My boys that I had before her, they lived to be 18. They were a little overweight for a while. I think that comes with getting fixed and having a lifestyle that doesn't include running around. He's a house cat, right? that would explain a lot. But he doesn't look fat. He looks happy and healthy.
As for Nohea, she doesn't do anything super cool. Something she has just now started doing is patting at things that she wants. If she wants to get in a door that is closed, pat, pat, slip underneath the door. That sort of stuff. It is really cute to see :)

My 70 pound dog does that in front of the space heater. It is ridiculous she is like three times the size of it and she will put her face right in front of it.
My best friend used to have a cat that he accidentally locked in a room once. The cat just out of sure nastiness peed in the heater that was just like that one. When my best friend went back into that room and the cat escaped he didn't realize what happened until he smelled the worst smell he had ever smelled (according to him) when he turned it on!! I just thought you would get a laugh out of that story.
ROFL!! Judging by the comments, most of us seem to have a rotisserie cat. I have one myself, and the main difference is that he's MUCH fatter than yours. He'll roast one side, roll around and get the other side toasty, then turn again to catch corners he missed. And he'll stay there til I turn it off. Then he gets all grumpy... LOL

LOL! No, Dolores, he's not a feline SpongeBob Squarepants. But he DOES have "corners" that're hidden by flab and fur and require customized baking to maintain an overall temperature balance. Some of the positions required could be considered obscene.
Both of my cats are like me (and Allen). If the temp drops to 70, I'm snuggled under the quilt AND the afghan, with Cosmic flat against my left side and Blackie against my right. Getting up to pee at 3 AM can be a real challenge...
Moosie due to health issues , Allen and I have different bedrooms. When I get up at 3 AM to go pee I pass his door and he is spooning with the damn cat. I swear to God his cat lies on his right arm with his back to Allen and Allen has his left arm around the cat. Should I be jealous ? They really keep each other warm ..
My cat Tigger practically lives in front of our gas fireplace all winter. Often times he'll sit in front of it when it's off as if he's waiting for me to turn it on so he can toast his belly. *lol* Throughout Christmastime he's either sleeping in front of the fireplace or beneath the Christmas tree which is near the fireplace.
