  • THIS ISNT THAT BULLSHIT SO CALLED 2007 REUNION WITH SHITTY PLAYERS DARYL STUERMER AND CHESTER THOMSON!!!!

  • Going to see them play The Lamb Returns tonight!!!

  • They are very good but they are not better than Genesis's classic 5 man line-up. Peter Gabriel did say that they were better - but in typical Gabriel fashion, it was said very much tongue in cheek.

  • really they kick ass

  • A band called Downing Grey is about to launch. DG pays tribute to all of classic progressive rock. With the excellence great bands like The Musical Box have established DG is bringing the power and exacting pefection of all the bands they cover to the stage. Each night you will hear selections of superb Genesis and you'll be blown away by the Yes, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, ELP, UK, Jethro Tull, Rush, Focus, Pink Floyd. Imagine 10 tributes at once. That's Downing Grey !

  • Seen these guys so many times and each time i see them is better than the last. Genesis' music goes all the way to my soul and Musical Box plays as well or better than the original members. Even Peter and Phil have made that comment!

  • Saw them do lamb last night In Louisville, Ky. The band was great !! THe sound man I wanted to track down and slap with a large trout. You could only hear the vocals when everything else got quiet. You could not hear the vocals the whole night !!! My 1st show too. I cant understand how the sound never got dialed in ? What was the soundman hearing ? I left a little disappointed not because the band didnt play well because they always do from what I have watched. You just could not hear the vox.

  • awesomeness I saw the original show in the early 70's @ Cleveland music hall and these guys sound almost the same! I can't wait to see them! Pater is my all time fav vocalist this dude is REALLY REALLY good

  • Brilliant

  • unbelievable that the keyboardist is playing it INCORRECTLY!

that's it. i'm going to post the correct way in a tutorial.

  • Seen the five times . Wicked brilliant and faithful.

  • These folks are coming to the Riviera in N.Tonawanda.. I got tickets. Can't WAIT to see them!!!!!

  • I love this, & can't wait to see these guys next month. Wish this was recorded louder, though. Still, it's incredible.

  • Do these guys tour the west coast of the U.S.?

    They are amazing!

  • I'll be there at the Vic theater in November. That will be intense.

  • @PeterMayer Coming to Buffalo in Nov. Can't wait!

  • I saw them to this show at the Keswick theatre outside Phila a few years for the very first time.I sat in the very first row.I didn't know what to expect.I was so blownaway it was incredible.I will never forget that experience for the rest of my life.It was unreal.Like steepping back into time.

  • @jdu6 yes look for me.i will be there w/my bother who is a musican row bb center introduce yerself!

  • Ce sont des Québécois amoureux de la musique de Genesis. Ils vont et viennent à travers le monde pour partager un univers assez génial. N'est-ce pas!

  • I literally want to cry this was so beautiful...

  • Saw them twice. A major treat both times. What bloody awesome talent. Highly

    recommended.

  • The first (of about 8) time I saw TMB, the thing that stuck out was "You got to get in........", not like Genesis..."You gotta get it"......Denis really enunciated these words.....

  • This band is amazing! I was 3 when Gabriel left the band, so I grew up listening to( and liking) the 80's version of Genesis. A few years ago at a Marillion concert I got talking with a guy and Genesis came up. He told me of how great they were and so I gave them a listen on you tube( thank you Tommygun!) I became obsessed. I want so badly to see Musical Box live some day

  • First concert I saw as a 15 year old was "The Lamb" at The Hippodrome In Birmingham in1975. Saw these guys do it at the appollo in manchester 4 years ago. It was like a time trip back through 25 years. Fantastic recreation

  • Just saw them in Toronto last Sat night . In a word ,

    Awsome !

They recreated Collins first ever show as lead in 76

Trick of the tail . Thanks for letting me re-live what I never got a chance to see .

If any of you out there ever get a chance to see this band DO NOT MISS OUT ON IT .

  • I'd rather see these guys than the new Genesis

  • @ontherush77 i'm with you there!

  • @ontherush77 What do you mean the "new" Genesis?

  • @AmerkFlack When Genesis started to become pop...

  • you need to understand the passion Quebecer's have for Genesis to understand where this quality might have come from. If you were to speak with Denis, or any of the group, you might at times ask for repetition as English is a far second language. When you hear these artists one would think they might be educated in rural England--they were not--they are Quebecers who love Genesis and the music and the perod

  • Even Peter Gabriel Say That They Are Better Than The Real Genesis!!

  • @mrspeed41 Better than the real Genesis?!? Woah! - That's got to be the strangest statement I've ever read! They are a great cover band, and the vocalist does a great Gabriel impression, but honestly. - Any of the old Genesis live clips with Phil on vocals are FAR superior to this! You are obviously free to think othervise, but that's your problem.

  • @BillBrolse "PETER GABRIEL SAY"...This band is better than the real Genesis...not me!!!! He said that on MuchMusic in Canada...and he even said that they were better than the version with him as a singer!

  • @mrspeed41 That was very nice of him :-) The early 70's Genesis were not the fantastic live-band they grew to become in the late 70's. Also, regardless of who's voice you prefered, Phil was a much better live singer than Gabriel was.

  • @BillBrolse The first Genesis album that I bought was DUKE (Unrated album in my opinion) an for me the best Genesis album is "A trick of the tale"

  • @rockandroll42 A trick of the tale is fantastic, except for the title track (IMO). Dance on a volcano is one of the very best Genesis songs, as is Squonk and Ripples. If you haven't already, check out the live version of Ripples on Archives#2, Disc-2. It's AMAZING!

  • @mrspeed41 that's because they don't fuck up on stage during this show all the time =P

  • @mrspeed41 Nothing is better than the original Genesis.

  • I was always a little wary of tribute bands, until I understood that these bands were bringing something to people that they missed. I discovered Genesis shortly after Gabriel left, and missed that most essential line-up. The Musical Box provided me with a chance to see and hear what I missed. They are uncannily accurate by all accounts.

  • when this band played in bristol ... peter gabriel came to see them ...

  • My favorite song from The Lamb is Back in NYC. Pete's voice on that song is amazing!!!

  • @slw59 Totally agree. Not many singers have that kind of range. This guy has, though

  • These guys are one of 2 cover bands EVER that impressed me (Dark Star Orchestra-The Gratedul Dead being the other) . I had the pleasure of seeing them do 'Lamb" in toronto-2001/2002? I drove up from Erie PA to go see it. I had chills up and down my spine the whole night-Simply Amazing...

  • WOW! Had no idea they existed! Exact re-creation of ( arguably) the greatest band of all time!

  • I'd love to see a post of The Musical Box performing CHAMBER OF 32 DOORS

  • they do the entire Lamb; note for note. every sound every nuance. It was one of the hightlights of my concert going life.

a devout concert goer since 76 in philly

  • what I meant was I'd like to see someone post a video of them performing CHAMBER OF 32 Doors. I saw them perform THE LAMB in Hollywood a few years ago and they were fantastic. One of the highlights was THE WAITING ROOM.

  • absolutly 100% agree with you it should be memorable

  • I saw them in Spain with The Lamb show live! Incredible, I'm a genesis fan and was surpising discover this band. This year I'll go to see them another time.

  • vu" the musical box " 3 fois à bruxelles - belgique

    1. selling england by the pound

    2. the lamb

    3. a trick of the tail

    EXCELLENT !...

  • I saw them in São Paulo, Brazil and I think they perform very well. Good song and beautiful.

I hope they could can back to Brazil again.

    Odilo Garutti - Vinhedo-SP, Brazil

  • I've never seen The Musical Box do the lamb tour, but based on these videos it looks awesome. However, i think Denis Gagne does better as Peter Gabriel pre-Lamb with long hair. He looked more like him and I think he had the style and stage presence down for those shows. The Lamb is totally different though as far as vocals, looks, and movements go. Plus I think it would be better if they created the Lamb live version which is more lively and upbeat. Still really good though I am just nitpicking

  • it's not fair.

  • i have seen these guys several times and they are so worth seeing over and over again. and i am a big genesis fan that went to dozens and dozens of genesis shows all over the states. i am a genesis groupie

  • Beautiful!
