Delerium "Karma" 1997. Also along these lines check out Dead Can Dance and maybe one not too many people heard about, Claire Voyant "Time and the Maiden" 1998. Female voices are so much better than male when it comes to this kind of music.

absolutely gorgeous girl, and a fantastic vocal performace, very natural, not forced, not trying to push her range; she kept it simple for the feel of the song and the style they were going for. I think they're missing some non-electronic instruments that would have been nice to hear. great vocal melody, mix, and harmonies. I don't mind a bit of reverb and delay and special effects here and there, but the robot voice effect might be a bit overused. if she is the writer of the lyrics, kudos

Wow, the audio quality on this is pretty bad. It's got that "fluttering" effect that you get from too much compression (note: I mean audio production, NOT file compression... has nothing to do with MP3s, FLAC or anything of the sort). Get a quality MP3 or the CD. It'll sound much better.

I have been listening to Delerium long enough to know that auto-tune is not one of their styles. Perhaps they experimented on this song. Considering the misuse of auto-tune to enhance bad to mediocre vocalists, I stick to my point. Talented singers don't need auto-tune. It's a gimmick that has become annoying more than anything else.
