The alternative: is to download essentials group manager to replace the groupmaanger and essentials groupmanagerbridge instead of fake permissions. This guys link is not broken its the developer. If u follow this tut using essentials files instead its exactly the same :) LIKE SO PEOPLE CAN SEE!
