In this case it's not, I have to wait for the guide anyway and couple medipacks will be needed later. The only small loss is taking flares at the beginning, but it takes too much time to "trigger" the guide, get back for flares, then get back to the guide.

i can do this lvl in about 4mins without getting all the medipacks, secrets, flares and everything. one thing i love doing is after you enter the room thats needs the eye of horus and get the cutscene, there are ladders that are like miles high. ilove killing myself at it
