When you have gun, please think how you customize grip. Grip will make it in form becoming stable in case of gun.

You/we make a handle of a fighting knife by logic the same as gun.

However, we have to make a handle of "throwing knife" in order to leave hand smoothly.

Reason rolling object in handle is various.

１－In order to coordinate position of center of gravity.

２－In order to transmit manual force to a knife rightly.

I(we) can see phenomenon of slide in commercial video of Negishi-ryu.

However, they seem to be reducing slide in other group of Negishi-ryu.

Slide has case happening naturally.

I removed slide as a kind of noise in my Mumyou-ryu.

However, most of Japanese skilll making slide in generally.

One defect which slide has receive influence in manual oil and perspiration.

Very nice video. There is a piece of vinyl fabric found in many retail stores here that is very similiar to the black matting you use for the base. Usually, this fabric is found in the housewares section and is used to keep drinking glasses from sliding around in a cabinet. Not too expensive either...about $5 for 2sq meters.
