can you play this game without the microphones that come with the game? i bought this used from gamestop and they didnt have ANY mics except for the one that comes with def jam rapstar, best buy doesnt seem to have any mics for sale either... and i'm impatient so i dont want to wait 5 days for them to ship it to a store :x

when you first turn on the microphone it should flash then press it again it will flash rapidly then it should work!

If you like singing, yes. Somehow the game scores musics from media devices and stuff. So you can try to beat your highscores at that..

It's like a retro arcade karaoke game. The main goal is to get the highscores.

Lips supports iPods and Zunes. However, as of yet, there is no support for iPhones or iPod Touches... yet.

I was a big fan of Singstar on the PS3 back when i owned that console, so i obviously did go and buy Lips for the XBOX 360 to get a chance to ¨fool around¨ with the genre again. My thoughts is that Lips is a more stylish game and the microphones are far superior then the ones to SingStar. Most about Lips are better, except for the Community and Downloadable Content.

agreed. this guys really got some facts wrong. biggest selling point of Lips is its very sophisticated scoring system, in comparison singstar cheats by having 3 difficulty levels - lame. he's wrong, Lips has phoneme detection.  Biggest score is not Big Bang - it's Infinity - clearly this dude did not really do much homework.

This review is terrible. I personally have the game and the motion detection does add to the game as it gets people moving that would just be standing in place otherwise. Also the sound quality is better than any of the other music games I have played including Singstar PS3 because it has different vocal settings like Modern Vocal, Radio Vocal, Concert Hall etc, It adds the pro like sound to your voice that all Karaoke DJ's use as well as pro singers, And it does it in real-time unlike Singstar.
