hi dh150junior . u mention the maintainance on these bikes is at 5000km . but wts actually involved. is light maintainance or piston changes etc. just wanted to no as im conciderin buyin on to make a change from enduro .

10000 km same as above + valves

I`ts a 4 stroke you dont have to change the piston !

The duke is a bit heavier than the smc so i guess its easier to wheelie the smc ! ?

The Bike needs every 5000 km a maintenance and thats it !

The 2012 690 SMC R is probably gonna need only every 10 000 km an inspection and has real 690 cc and 67 hp .

@DarkCreatorn 4 stroke:) it's easy to tell, if the bike has a fat pipe in the front and makes the high pitch sound its a 2 stroke. if the sounds low and rattles the ground when you hit the gas, its a 4 stroke :)

@Blade4613 The wheel isnt moving when it touches the ground...of course its going to smoke when it hits the ground going 60-70 mph...ur tires smoke that much when u take a turn too fast in your car you just dont see it...think of it like an airmplane coming in to land, when the wheel touches the ground its not going to just instantly be going 100mph, its has to catch that friction to speed up first
