  • the foreign policy stuff was funny, lol

  • Fareed sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • löl_Í_fËel_sø_lönÊlY_tôDaY

  • What a turd this guy is. I didn't watch the vid but did read his anti-Caucasian CNN blog a few minutes ago. If it were up to me, this foreign-born racist ingrate would be tarred and feathered and then booted unceremoniously out of the country! He can take the "whitey's holding you down" cancer he spreads back with him to the toilet he was born in. Honesty, just kick the scumbag's ass out of here!!

Btw, same for ted koppel; he started this culture of hate-on-whitey, he can go back to England NOW

  • @guyNbluejeans

Oh,fuck off---even most Americans are starting to see Palin and the Tea Party for the fucking crazy right-wing shill nut tools that they are---they're a bunch of fucking jokes! Experienced, my ass! She is NOT qualified for the job of VP---she's narrow-minded, she's racist, and she has NO real grasp of how the political world outside of Alaska works--except for how to jack it for everything she can! Anti-Caucasian--bullshit--you're just pissed that he called her on her BS!

  • @statelybird3 I see another howard university scholar has responded to something I said. If I only cared.

  • If you American's vote Palin as President next election China will eclipse you in a matter of months

  • I don't think Palin becoming president would lead the country on an irreversible road to fundamental destruction as people say it would; I wouldn't be pretty, but she would be the president ... not the Queen!! Any of the crazier policies she would attempt to implement would simply be thrown out by congress (and not just the democrats, but many republicans too) as is the case with every president

Besides, the situation we are in can't get much worse than it already is

  • @CheapBeer09 well, if that's the case, then let's run Brittany for President with maybe Lindsey as her running mate. It shouldn't matter according to your assessment.

  • Fareed hit the mark; my goldfish has more fucking braincells than Palin

The problem with America is that it's full of Americans

  • PALIN IS FAR BETTER THAN ovomit AND HIS CRONIES.

  • Note the CNN subtitle--"DOW RECORDS ITS BIGGEST CLOSING POINT DROP IN HISTORY" Our economy was in a state of total meltdown. It was in free fall. Economists were seriously talking "second Great Depression". How easily we forget. People deride Obama for the Stimulus, and no one's happy about the economy, but no one is talking "second Great Depression" anymore.

  • Ill take Sarah Palin over any Democrat any day. At least she is on the side of liberty and freedom, unlike those communists buttholes in the Democratic party.

  • @John43620 In light of your statement you obviously know nothing about communism or the democrat party.

  • @si223 At Least He Knows That Republicans Are In It For Liberty And Freedom. Haha

  • @John43620 You and Sarah Palin are the reason people view republicans as retarded........good job.

  • @withlove9195 you're an illuminate..

  • Hey John Ziegler, are you listening?

  • hahahh Saudi Arabia LOL

  • Fareed has a checkered past-I know an electrician that works in Atlanta and did some work on the studios at CNN and he said the camera men found an old police report that Fareed had been cited for lewd acts with a minor (9 year old boy) when Zakaria was in college. The kids' parents didn't want it to go public and they settled out of court but Fareed also was banned from coaching children's sports in that city.

  • Recently Zakaria put down Iran's president! Google "Ahmadinejad punished my Christian mother's rapist" and see his good work as mayor!

  • Fareed is a wannabe elist cock polisher and a fucking idiot. All he does is talk about how shitty america is yet he's from turd world country and using u.s. govt money to get ahead of hard working naturalized u.s. citizens. Time magazine can suck my 14 inch cock down their throats for hiriing this uncredible dick licker.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Just about in that paragraph was false. But i'll comment on the biggest falacy: He talks about the shitty part of America because he wants to suggest how to make our country better. What do you want him to talk about? How we saved Europe in WWII? How we were the ones to win the Cold War? What is he gonna accomplish as a walking History Channel? Fareed is one of the smartest people in news, in that he never gets involved in pop culture bull**** like Lohan or Bieber.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork what's your problem with Fareed, that he talks about issues that you are afraid to hear? You sound like a little bitch that probably knows less about your own country than this "turd world" individual. What, you lack a proper vocabulary and require profanity to attempt to get your point across? Are any of his talking points factually false, if so please let me know.

  • Definitely one of the most intelligent people on television. Editor of time, former editor of Newsweek. He is an intellectual and is not afraid to make his case.

  • Screaming Freedom Broadcast......Fight The Future

  • He is by far one of the most astute Fox News guests.

  • It is logical that you can't govern if you don't understand economics.

  • Her pastor calling bankers and high-finances "wicked" really triggered some alarms didnt it mr. Zakaria?? LOL! I love all this New World Order shills scared of Palin and the Third Wave dominionist movement...

    Go Sarah!

  • @GodHatesPortugal

if you really read up on the New World Order or watched Alex Jones, you would know that Palin is one of the several NeoCon puppets set up by the NWO. Instead, you are trying to make it into a partisian issue, a left-right issue. Get with it, they are everywhere. Sarah Palin and some other NeoCons hijacked the Tea Party. Remember, her and McCain were for the original Bush Banker Bailout. The original Tea Party were against that. Now she is one of them? Sounds oppurtunistic.

  • Saudi Arabia doesn't have a President. It's a Kingdom.

  • @TheRipperRypien Thank you captain obvious for that useful information...

  • @TheRipperRypien no shit dick tracy he was making a point douchbag

  • "85% of Alaska's budget comes from oil revenues." How can you govern a state like this and then call someone else a socialist?

  • Thumbs up to Fareed

  • I guarantee you there will be a push to vote for Palin in 2012. The push will start next year in August.

  • Sarah Palin was just a dumbaz!

  • @dustee Yes, she was a "dumbass" but, to be fair, it's not as though Biden is a glittering jewel of brilliance either.

  • wow, this is scary...

  • As for his foreign policies: he has yet to yield any serious results due to his "engagement" policies and has only managed to give our competitors everything they want and the impetus to ask for me in exchange for nothing (save more delay tactics and political brinksmanship). While I agree engaging in Soft Power Diplomacy is important, when you fail to achieve ANY major foreign policy goals whilst giving the other side everything they wanted, you risk becoming an Appeaser.

  • Well, he has only been in office for a year. Obama's really just continuing Bush's policy regarding Iraq/Afghanistan, and that's not really a bad thing. You may have read "What Bush did right" by FZ, which I think explains everything very well.

  • It's only been a year. Be reasonable.

START 3 only needs a signature.

Copenhagen was a failure. But it exposed China for what it was. I'll say thats an accomplishment.

He's reengaged the Muslim world in a dialog. Again, thats an accomplishment.

And he's on track to pull out troops in Iraq.

    He's stepped away from unilateralism.

    Putting smart pressure on Iran.

But the US is after all in two wars, in a recession and in great debt. Something have to give. Be realistic towards the goal post.

  • @Muthsera80 We all knew what China was, yet, the international community continues to slam America for pollution when China's blase attitude coupled with their rampant industrialization is (if Manmade Global Warming is THE cause of Climate Change as the Left suggests) is the real threat to the environment & no one will do a thing to rein them in.

Reengagement is important, but nothing has really changed. The Mideast govs that want to help in the GWoT remain doing so and those that don't, haven't

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

Always easier to be the general after the war isn't it? The last couple of years China had stepped a lot closer to re-affirming a good climate bill. US was dragging their feet. It's been an enormous shift in your policy.

How can you reign in China. You tell me.

Actually. Iraq all but one has pulled out. There is no coalition of the willing there anymore. Afgan. was and still is a Nato lead effort. All Nato countries participate there. *cont*

  • @Muthsera80 I do applaud Obama for continuing the Bush Foreign Policy regarding the GWoT (particularly Iraq and Afghanistan). However, that merely reaffirms that Neocons like myself -- in the long-run -- were right and Hard Power is still preferable to Soft Power since its the former that is yielding positive results in both nations (and the overall GWoT). He's putting Smart Power pressure on Iran, yet, I have serious reservations that that gov will capitulate to our will, since the Revolutionary

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

I have no idea what GWoT is. And I have a feeling I'm going to reject it as a notion. But soft power is an important factor. IMF and World Bank show that regularly. It has toppled governments and changed policies drastically. And the price has been cheap compared to the pit which is the two current wars.

On Iran, are you kidding me. The revolutionary guard has always been under direct authority of the Ayatollah. Nothing has change except the perception of reform. *cont*

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie Obama's continuing nothing, his plan to begain withdrawing troops in 2011 and have them all out by 2013 has not changed. He cancelled the unessecary missle defense shield in Poland and you see how he's finally reigning in Isreal. Obama has also gotten Putin to allow passage to Afghanistan through the Siberian region, somehthing Bush attempted to force out of Putin for years with no headway.

  • @funkbrother216

    Agree.

  • @Muthsera80 Guard are quietly usurping power there with intent on continuing their extreme foreign policy. Anyway, I just think that Obama is going from Liberal Internationalist to Reluctant Realist now because he's finally realizing everything Bush and Clinton had to in their Presidencies: there are threats out there that cannot be talked down and must be met by force, lest we desire to watch them fester and metastasize into a new, mega-threat.

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

Not to mention the Basij who have always been a guarantee for the Theocracy rule. Everyone in Iran have long understood this. What changed is that a large majority now reject their legitimacy. No actual real political structures. What we see is a path to change which is inevitable. But we don't know how long it will take. The might be a nuclear power before then.

Secondly. Obama has always been a realist. Either you believe it or not. Being a realist doesn't *cont*

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

    *cont*

contradict with being of a "liberal" mindset. It has more to do with how you approach change.

Now, you said in a comment below here. That Obama needs to fix the economy. If you read some Keynesian economic books. You'd understand thats what the administration is doing. The chicago school is dead. Freeman was wrong I'm afraid. It doesn't check itself. But yet, here you find yourself allowing a few republicans and democrats to stall financial reform. Stunning.

  • I would like to also add that the power of the economy is a key component to Zakaria's book "Post-American World" and yet we now have a President who absolutely refuses to face reality and FIX THE DAMNED ECONOMY! And, as much of a joke as Palin was -- and good God she was a laughing-stock -- Joe Biden is even worse. Here is a man who spent 30+ years in foreign policy circles and EVERY FOREIGN POLICY OPINION/DECISION HE FORMED ENDED UP BEING ABSOLUTELY WRONG!

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

You should realize that Zakaria is in no way a classical economist, he realizes that market forces are not always agents of progress.

  • @Linkster2o Yet so much of his work goes into validating not only Reagan's economic policies, but the policies of globalization -- which he states in "Post-American World" took off thanks to Reagan's supply-side policies in the 80s and the dismantling of the USSR. While I am no way stating Zakaria is an avowed Classical Economist, when one reads between the lines, one quickly realizes his sympathies lie with that school of economic thought more than any other.

  • @AllTerroristsMustDie

While I am a critic of Supply Side Economics, I do agree with Zakaria and many others in their opposition to protectionism. I approve of some of Obama's economic policies, but his refusal to accept free-trade is irritating.

None the less, Obama is an appropriate figure in a "post-american world" at least in his stances on foreign policy.

  • @Linkster2o Obama's refusal to accept free trade is nothing new. In his defense, he never claimed to be the candidate of free trade. Bush beginning the bailouts and everything he did in those last days in office were the greatest gifts for Obama to initiate his economic "vision."

Obama by definition is an inappropriate figure in the "Post-American World" since that world is dependent on a strong & vibrant global economy dominated by free trade. Obama has yet to give us this.

  • Palin was a joke. I say that as a Neoconservative who worked for the GOP during the Campaign (although I was a Romney guy). One of the key thrusts of McCain's campaign was that he was more qualified to be president than The Bamster due to his extensive experience. Then, he nominates someone as qualified (possibly less qualified) as The Bamster and blows away a key thrust of his campaign! WTF?! I like Fareed a lot, but he is an egghead & thus far has backed a lemon named Obama. Obama has failed.

  • fareed zakaria rules. he's a very intelligent & well spoken man, just like you said Bullman808

  • fareed is the only show worth watching on cnn. Cnn is such a crap network, but fareed is an intelligent guy and i like hearing his viewpoint.

  • Your comments are barely compreshensible. Learn some basic grammar and spelling. You do your cause no good with these kinds of nonsensical ranting posts.

  • i love fareed, a very smart and well spoken man

  • @Bullman808 FAREED IS THA MAN

  • @Bullman808 smart and well spoken and damned handsome

  • CNN’s Fareed Zakaria defends Obama. Says: "Liberals Need to Grow Up’ & Stop Criticizing Him" 8/15/11 Independent journalism? I don't think so.

  • how did a hillbilly like you get a computer?

  • Thank God that the Republicans didn't get away with their fraudulent election campaign....shame on Mcain for selecting such as mean-minded bimbo!

As a nation we still have to bear the moral responsibility for having elected Bush (junior) twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "It's not that she doesn't know the answer; it's that she doesn't understand the question."

Hear that noise? The sound of a nail being hit squarely on the head...

  • Yeah.. totally, lol

  • He is a terrorist just because of his name??? You are more retarded than Palin.

  • I was joking you fucktard.

More retarded than Palin? You're more retarded than Trig.

  • genius !!

  • lol...satire and sarcasm simply goes over some peoples heads....well done

  • u r stupid

  • Are you another idiot who could not detect the sarcasm in my comment?

I am mocking Palin and the extent to which her followers will ignore reality in order to defend her.

  • Americans can't see/understand irony or sarcasm, especially on the internet where there isn't voice cues. I've long since given up trying it, (unless a specifically non-US audience will be reading it) because my comments get thumbed right down like yours did. Its mind boggling isn't it?

  • I can't believe more people could tell you were being sarcastic. How stupid we are.....

  • fareed zakaria -- one of the best...

  • hahaha i like the saudi comment.

  • Yeah, hahaa!

  • I find Fareed Zalaria's comments well put and insightful on Sarah Palin's terribly low intelllect. 8 yrs of Bush and 4 more yrs of McCain plus Palin,,,, US will be deeper in the woods. Thank goodness, there's a smart team on board this time.

I just think Fareed Zakaria bears a resemblance to William Dafoe, whom I;ve liked after watching' Platoon'.

  • the black defoe.. haha

  • we don't want to end up like iran!!!!! thats what palin would bring because she lies!!!!!!

  • Some of the best I've ever heard from Fareed - this guy needs to be on the air more often. On other people's shows, not his own, b/c he's just not that great at pulling off his own show. But I send out my desi love to ya Fareed! You make us proud!

  • Well, now that she's resigned as governor, she can run for president of SaudiProxy-Connectio

  • You Americans should stop being so religious. It's idiotic to have religion run your lives and ALL your views.

  • Gaubuchon02 - with a name like that who you judgin' as unAmerican? Begone

  • You like Sarah Palin? Have you said all the idiotic things she's said? She's an idiot who doesn't know anything and I think it's awful that she runs a whole state and that she was close to becoming the vide president of your country. it's just embarassing.

  • Gaubuchon02, how did you get to be so stupid? Were you born like this or did you have to work at it? Did your mom take to boozing when she carried you in the womb? Are your parents brother and sister? Did you get a traumatic brain injury in Iraq or while riding your skateboard around Michigan? Simply put, kid, how did you come to be so stupid you think everyone who isn't an US-born conservative WASP is evil, or a terrorist, or un-American. You really need to grow up. Your jokes suck, too.

  • As for my being a fag, how'd you know? Did your father tell you about us? I thought he wanted to keep our relationship a secret until his divorce from your mother is final. Now, as for my being a "Pollock", yes, I'm Polish. If you're suggesting I'm stupid, I'll note that you're the one who can't spell Polack. As for San Francisco, I wouldn't know about that. I live in Missouri, where your Dad keeps me in grand style, paying my rent and buying me fabulous clothes, Darling. You can call me "Mom".

  • Common if they chose Sarah Palin as a candidate for the greatest power on earth, means that the USA is really STUPID.

  • Comment removed

  • Among white voters, McCain won by about 15 percent. How scary is that?

  • I have no respect for mccain. What a fucking jerk.

  • Fareed Zakaria is 100% correct. When McCain picked Sarah Palin, he demonstrated not only how ignorant she is, but how ignorant McCain is if he really thought she could handle the vice presidency. Palin is so dumn she makes wood look smart.

  • actually foriegn policy is scary too

but i like palin though too bad for media

  • Fareed Zakaria is in the Bilderberg Group

  • FARTHEAD? You called Fareed Zakaria "Farthead"- Palin would have been insanely underqualified to take on the presidency- And its safe to say that most all the people posting on youtube are underqualified, so you got me there...Im also not qualified to run a state- ATTENTION ALL: If your not qaulified to run a state your not allowed to be critical of those who do! That sounds alot like, ummm...communism- (Theyll cover the basics of communism when you get to highschool)- Till then spew on!

  • I think he hates Saudi Arabia

  • Fareed is very smart. Too bad he doesn't get much press...but he understands that Sarah is a moron. In the end, they STILL got 58 million votes.

  • awesome wise man

  • Fareed reminds me of Van Damme...only he's smarter

  • yes THE ECONOMY!!! you all think making abortion illegal will stop them, it wont it wont in the least, women will STILL seek them out with disasterous consequences. I wish Palin would die in a bucket.

  • "This is good training to be president of Saudi Arabia, not the United States..." BEST LINE EVER... Brilliant Fareed!

  • Absolutely!!

  • Bgdrewsif: It was a brilliant line Mr. Zakaria uttered, I concur. I almost spewed my V-8 onto the computer screen, unfortunately, although he was stating the truth. I'm thankful she is not in office, and I'm a Republican. Ms. Palin does not possess the intelligence or political savvy of Coulter (detest her rhetoric), Clinton or Condi Rice. If this is the best we can offer, then we are in serious trouble as a nation.

  • Thank his team of script/joke writers you retard. The World is full of retards thats why the New World Order is wining...

  • @GodHatesPortugal Maybe you can teach the retards how to misspell "winning". Or is proofreading the tool of the NWO? mwahahahaha

  • @GodHatesPortugal learn how to spell moron.

  • @GodHatesPortugal

Who let you out of the asylum?

  • Comment removed

  • Keep it real Fareed

  • fareed zakaria is simply the best! he has so much wisdom and his show "gps" is so just WOW

i love it and we should all listen to him

  • I don't know how anyone could listen to her answers to these interviews and still vote for that ticket. Can you imagine her having talks with other foreign leaders who are women. They would look at us like we are a bunch of idiots.

  • and you need to go back to school

  • skinhead without a country?

  • Fareed Zakaria hit the nail on the head! Sarah Palin was prepped & prepped 2 know the answers to the questions, but lacked the knowledge, wisdom,& discernment behind the meaning of the questions. For expl, you could ask me what e=mc2 is & I wld answer:massenergy equivalence. Now ask me 2 explain it...forget it! That is light years beyond my understanding! Sarah Palin's ambition vetoed her common sense when she accepted Mccain's offer. Mccain's desperation came thru when he chose her. So sad!!

  • very well said

  • whats even more hilarious is you watch his program just to hear the accent. by the way your's just popped out - that idiot accent.

  • If Zakaria weren't so involved with Newsweek international adn GPS (his show on Sunday on CNN), I'd want the guy for a Secretary of State.

The man is awesome. And calm. So you know that his mother WORKS IN THE TAJ HOTEL? Thank God she was off the day of the attacks!! His inlaws had commandos in thier apartment accross the street. (His niece is keeping the shell casings.

And he still did an in depth, balanced full hour on the terrorists the next day.

We need more men like him-thoughtful

  • ditto re: the sec. of state comment. i have learned a lot from him. have you read his book "the post-american world"? i think it's a must-read for everyone especially US citizenry

  • Fareed is so intelligent and calm.

  • haha sarah palin is a fucking little bitch.

  • I love Fareed Zakaria, he pulls no punches

  • 2:01 was pwnage from fareed

fareed zakaria is teh win! that was a very sensible report and not too offending (like jack)

    but its correct. sadly.

  • Americans you guys might not realize this, but the whole world can see it trust me. You are humiliating and disrespecting yourselves by having by having such unintelligent ignorant people running your country. It should be shameful and embarrassing to you all. My little 12 year old brother has more knowledge about foreign policy then this lady does. Shame on you America!!

  • well said jssme

  • "The scariest question was not on foreign policy. That stuff was funny."

I love how he says that we a die-heard serious face and tone.

  • hard*

  • Dude! She's simple! And she lost. Get over it.

  • It wasn't sexist when people said Bush was dumb. Why is it sexist for Palin? sheeze

  • Please tell me that you are kidding and that your screen name is a joke.

  • Don't look now but Palin is planning a comeback.

Check out her interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. She actually believes she nailed it but it's classic Palin:

    Fragmented sentences? Check

    Incoherent answers? Check

    Obvious packaged responses? Check

    Speaking in generalities? Check

    Claiming to have solutions? Check

    Providing no solutions? Check

The affirmative action answer needs subtitles.

    CLASSIC.

  • Fareed Zakaria is a really smart guy. I don't want to have the growing feeling that I can beat my own vice president in a policy debate.

  • Yeah, but are you hotter than she is?

Seriously, though, it's been painfully obvious for a long time that truly qualified people avoid public service. Occasionally an intelligent, sincere, energetic, idealistic individual will make the attempt, only to be ground down by callous, indifferent, greedy incompetent bureaucracy. Unfortunately, that means that the ranks of government are left to be filled by lazy, hypocritical, mean-spirited, self-serving half-wits. Witness Sarah Palin.

  • truly funny - Obama Bar here on YouTube (type Obama Bar in the search box)

  • "The scariest answer on the Katie Couric interview was not on foreign policy. The foreign policy answers were funny." ROTFL

  • Fareed you speak a very thoughful truth, McCain did an aweful mistake choosing Palin, it is obvious that she does not understand certain questions, for the sake of this nation, please, she can't be elected for this position.

  • she would be a good president for saudi arabia LOL whats arabic for drill baby drill?

  • "she clearly does not understand the question". that's bang-on right!!

  • Sorry for the typo-error.Fareed Zakaria is truly insightful and right on the mark.

  • Fareed Zakaria says it for us. Already it's 8 yrs down the chute for Americans with Bush, imagine another 4 yrs with McCain or Sarah Palin for president. A mom with 5 kids, n one who needs special care, a teen daughter with child, ..that would be a lot of distractions. Like any working mom with kids, it can be stressful, and she's going to handle the world's economic issues, foreign policies, education, health plans ...

The world knows she's incapable, divisiveincompetent, divisive, vicious.

  • And all of this disqualifies her as being able to handle the countries issues? I think not ... I think this makes her more qualified because she UNDERSTANDS how it is to be a human being and she knows how it feels to struggle and have to worry about paying bills and all the things that happen in an everyday/normal life.

  • Understanding what it means to struggle doesn't mean you understand what it takes to solve the issues to prevent people from struggling.

  • nicely done

  • did you see the stipend she gets which you and i paid so she can live in her house. .

  • LMAO. You're so naive, it's funny. XD

  • ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

Palin shows a complete lack of comprehension on such issues as foreign policy, economy, diplomacy, law - but she "UNDERSTANDS 'how' it is to be a human being" (whatever that means) and "she knows how it feels to struggle", so that trumps everything?

With qualifications so low, why not go to a Wal-Mart and pick the first person you see. My guess is they won't be able to find Iraq on a map, but I bet they know how to be human and have experienced struggle. IDIOT!

  • "85% of [Alaska's] budget comes from oil revenue. You are basically just distributing oil revenues that are being provided to you by digging holes in the ground. this is good training to be president of saudi arabia, not the US." LOL

  • He is totally right?! Palin seems so unqualified...how the hell she even got nominated>!?...and governor??!!

  • I don't think the republican party cares so much about capabilities as they do about positions. And Sarah Palin truly appeals to their position's...

  • well put
