  • i see read lick say move not do very near. see train front is sooo powerful hit snow pound 74

  • nice vid - thumbs up & faved!

  • Great Video!!

  • soooo,,,not much shovel action,,..,alrighty then.,.,take care now.,.,bye-bye then.,

  • I have no idea why I am watching this

    I know nothing about trains

Why is it a MUST SEE?

  • @iOrganicTank because engineers mostly stay in their cab.

  • What did the engineer say to you?

  • better safe then sorry hope hes my engineer next time i travel

  • The new and improved C&S foreman Doug Kydd! LoL

  • How can someone not clear the snow from the signal? Boy was that engineer pissed.

  • are the cabs inside an AEM7 linked by a hallway, or does an engineer have to climb down and up to switch cabs?

  • @northlanderdude They're linked by a hallway. He can walk through the engine to access the cabs.

  • @ThirdRail7 thanks for the info :)

  • OMG

  • I recognize his voice. He's the engineer on a couple of Neff Video Productions cab ride DVDs. I think his name is Mark.

  • @artifexaeternus No. His name isn't Mark.

  • @ThirdRail7 Who is it then? Was he on any of the Neff videos?

  • Damn I thought he was going to pull a bottle of booze out of the snow bank

  • "Unstoppable II"

  • This guy should get promoted. He may have saved everyone's life with a few kicks at a snowbank. Guy knows what he's doing.

  • Its obvious that some high paid engineer (Not the train operator) did not want to put a 7 foot steel pole there. Lets put it on the ground so an operator cant see the signal with a lot of snow on the ground and kills everyone on board. And yea, He did seem pretty cool.

  • I sure am glad he knew where his signals are supposed to be.

  • Too bad this type of job, engineer, was closed to many people.

  • @adelgado75

Yeah, Damn right. I'm an electrician with Amtrak Sunnyside Yard. And i have always kept applying for a passenger engineer job and i dont even get a rejection letter. All they do is hire their family members through hookups in the system. i'm so tired of them. Sunnyside Yard is full of corruption.

  • @adelgado75 I know. It would be interesting to get a job as an Amtrak engineer. It pays good money and from seeing this engineer they can show up to work in street clothes and not have to wear a uniform like the conductors have to.

  • @MrWill1985 Metro North engineers do the same thing!

  • Now that's a real pro. Knowing that Amtrak has such well-trained and conscientious engineers caring for the passengers makes me like riding the rails even more.

  • @andrewhurricane you said it

  • Amtrak workers are the best!

  • I heard an electric sound at 3:15 and 3:12.Wut wuz that?

  • @EpicBlazbluedude315 The train is powered by an over head eletric wire. Since it was a really cold day, I belive that sound is the train's pantograph contacting the wire and melting some ice that had acumulated. Thanks for watching!

  • I know he was happy to get back in that warm locomotive

  • This AEM7 was derailed

  • isnt that why they have Cab signals in the train??? so just incase this happens

  • @vze428s7

Of course, but MNs signals are controlled point only so I wouldn't chance it going through the interlocking without knowing what the aspect was.

  • Now that my friends.....is the key to being a successful engineer. Knowing your territory.

  • oh ok.. though it might be.

  • what is he digging out?

  • @chuck2271 a signal that was buried under the snow

  • Weird, but cool

  • cool guy nice shot

  • That was....... different.., nice catch

  • @chealy349 yeah this catch really made my day!

  • Nice catch..

  • @SuperStarRendon thanks!
