  • THIS WAS USEFUL INFORMATION. BECAUSE A GUY OFFERED TO SELL ME HIS ETICKETS . AFTER SEEING THIS VIDEO I KNOW I COULD NEVER USE THEM AT THE GATE ANYWAY. THANK YOU!

  • My problem is that I'm 15 and wanting to go to a Selena Gomez concert with my friend whos also 15. (Were obv. old enough to go by ourselves, I mean it's Selena Gomez) but in order to get the tickets we want, and without selling out we must buy online thru ticketmaster, my dad would have to buy them again, cause were just 15 we don't have credit cards. But no, paperless ticketing would make my dad spend another $80 for a ticket for a person he doesn't even know of...

  • the venue decides to use the paperless ticket system. its NOT up to ticketmaster...I work for ticketmaster and I know this for a fact...blame the venue.

  • You realize that the option for paperless tickets, in honesty all delivery methods, are actually designated by the venue. Ticketmaster just sells the tickets, it's up to the event promoters to decide all of the details.

  • Sounds like 304Urban is a plant for Ticketmaster. Get out of your parents basement and get a life, numb nuts.

  • F*ck TicketMaster. Those *ssholes sold me tickets to a concert and when it turned out that I couldn't go the only way I could get my money out of them was to use their reselling outlet at which time they f*cked me again by selling my tickets at full price and only giving me the ticket price less the convenience charges. Now TicketF*ckingMaster has sold the same set of tickets and received twice the convenience charges. What a crock of sh*t. No more ticketless concerts for me.

  • @bubs2005 lol no one "sold" you tickets retard you BOUGHT them and gave them your credit card number and AGREED to no refunds or exchanges lol genius!

  • can i just use a ticket printed off my computer?

  • I had to deal with this bullshit last night at Iron Maiden. Thanks ticket master for making me wait outside for over an hour and miss half of Dream Theaters set.

  • as much as I totally agree with everything on here, the one thing that I don't agree with is blaming the Customer Service agents, why? cause I am one and I know first hand that I hate having to tell people that I can't do anything for them, but I work for Ticketmaster and I don't get to make the decisions and I don't influence anyone. You think you can just say "i buy so many tickets, do me a favor" and then i can ask my boss. it doesn't work like that. We do what we can, but our hands are tied.

  • F U Ticketmaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Forcing people to have and use a credit card! Just yet another step towards global enslavement!

  • @pineal2012 no one is forcing you to do anything... dont go if your going to wine like a bitch

  • An alternative is desperately needed for both:

TicketMaster / LiveNation and Fandango / MovieTickets.

Last but not least, all of these venues need to be much cleaner, especially the bathrooms and garbage removal.

Really ridiculous to charge so much for substandard service.

  • @TITANIUMDX ticketmaster sells tickets on behalf of the box office... if u want a cleaner venue then get your mom to clean it up

  • If anyone's noticed lately...

For most of the "paperless" events, Ticketmaster now offers "VIP/Premium Packages".

They're basically scalping their own tickets.

Way to go, Dept of Justice.

  • im 17. iron maiden is coming the day before my 18th birthday. i have been so excited but NOW IM FUCKED BY TICKETMASTER AND I CANT GO!!! doesnt ticketmaster own a website that basically scalps tickets? so why do they think they are cracking down on scalpers

  • wut a bunch of idiots.i had paperless tickets for the milwaukee AC/DC show thats has been rescheduled for April. Im a 2nd shifter so i sent them a support askin wut if its on a day i cant get off work wut am i to do? the idiots went and refunded my money and i did not ask for a refund. i didnt know about it until my wife asked about a credit on discover card. i sent a support to ticketmaster with original email and they said they would respond in 24-48 hrs, well its been 2 weeks and pfft nothin

  • Sounds like Tickemaster forgot the 1st rule in business.

    Keep your customers happy ))

    Regards

    Liam from Ticketfriend

  • Have any of you ever tried to get tickets to a Montreal Canadiens game?...

    yeah, I didn't think so...

Getting a red level ticket to a habs game is upwards of $325... THAT'S 325 FUCKING DOLLARS PEOPLE!!!

I can't wait untill they start selling paperless tickets for Habs games...

FUCK SCALPERS, GOD BLESS PAPERLESS TICKETS.

  • This is absolutely the most rediculous policy I have ever heard. Unfortunately I found about an AMAZING event after tix were sold out. I posted an ad on craigslist and a nice gentleman contacted me because he had tix he could no longer use. Well because of this new paperless ticketing these seats will be empty, instead of allowing 2 of the hundreds (if not thousands) of fans who don't have tix to enjoy the show. Unbelievably unfair.

  • The paperless ticket situation with Ticketmaster and MSG will be one thing I don't forget. It was a complete disaster. For anyone reading this, I beg you to put pressure on Ticketmaster and MSG, this is not the way to go. Words that come to mind are confusion, unorganized, and chaos. It is a nice attempt at stubbing the ticket scalper, but it was done at the sole expense of those attending the event. If this was done at Yankee Stadium, there would be riots.

  • I say stop attending venues that are tickmaster/live nations/clear channel venues!!!!!!

  • I bought tickets for AC/DC and got no other option!!! i fortunate enough to get good tickets but i too think it sucks! what about stubs!!!!!! this is crap... if i thought the pdf tickets were stupid this is beyond...

  • Paperless tickets don't keep brokers from getting all the good tickets anyway. i went online today to buy ac/dc tickets and all the "paperless tickets were sold out the very minute they went on sale. I went on some ticketbroker sites an they have plenty of of seats that the paper tickets were for. i just refuse to see the show out of principal now fuck it . i'm so pissed off wtf?

  • Paperless tickets is a joke. I bought my daughter tickets for her and a friend to Miley Cyrus and she cannot go because I cannot escort her to the door (live 200 miles away) She has my credit card to get in but without me and MY ID she can't go in. Talk about devestating. Thanks Ticketmaster!

  • This video set a seed, yet made me laugh.. Guess we can no longer collect our tickets stubs... The reason ticket-shit-deal is doing this is to keep track of our lives... Fema camps are next... Rock on...

  • This is a great video! I am getting screwed over some Springsteen tickets because I could not tell the future!

  • What I dont understand is if your kid is that old to go to a concert without supervision, then let them hold your credit card for the freaking show.

  • uhhh...im pretty sure ur kids i.d wont match the name on the card.

  • So what. You walk them in with the card and then leave. Im pretty sure you can do that because theres scalpers 'escorting' people in anyway

  • that makes no sense. then the scalper would need to buy an extra ticket for themselves to get themselves and the buyers family in.

  • well they're not. scalpers are selling miley tickets and escorting people in. i honestly hope it doesnt work. then everyone who bought tickets from a scalper wont be able to get it

  • the purpose of paperless ticketing is to give ticket brokers/scalpers a hard time nother words there fuked !!!!cant scalp a paperless event cuz only the cardholder cab pik up the tickets...fuk scalpers they should get a real job,,,anyway.

  • Yeah theres been a lot less scalpers than last time, however scalpers are still buying tickets and meeting the family at the show. Hopefully we'll find out if all this works out. I'll be at my Miley concert early watching it all go down

  • This is dumb cos the positves are better than the negatives and the artists CHOOSE whether or not they want to use this policy !

  • i hate paperles tickes uhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • ticketdisaster. : (

i know its not ticketmaster's fault really, they just sell the tickets..but still. buying tickets has become so complicated.

  • Nokia has awful customer service. Please boycott Nokia too!

  • ticketmaster SELLS the tickets for the PROMOTOR... they do NOT make these rules.

  • thats what they want you to think...

  • no... thats what I know...

  • its the promoters of the event who make up all these rules not ticketmaster...dumbasses know the facts before u give ur opinions....i hate listening to u fukn stupid fukn whiney ass people tell it 2 the press for reals!!!

  • You're completely correct! I work for the company, it's definitely the promoters who control most along with the artist's representatives.

  • So, are you saying its the promoters and artist reps that make Ticket Master charge all of those "convenience" fees? Or Maybe your saying they forced TicketMaster into a monopoly? Perhaps your saying they made TM get into the ticket resale business for more profits or made them attempt merger when the largest promoter in the world decided to print their own tickets? Or maybe they made the venues use old DOS system for tickets? Yes, Ticket Master is free from all guilt. Funny!

  • Awesome video idea. you made every valid point.

Gift for Johnny Rockstar? cant do it!

Sick and cant make it? cant sell it!

It wasnt broke, Ticketmaster. Dont fix it. Listen to the fans. Bitch.

  • Paperless tickets are the worst idea I've ever heard of. It's my money and my ticket and I want to use it how I like. No more gift tickets, no more selling if you can't make it, no more client tickets. It make absolutely no sense.

  • Ticketmaster is the worst SCALPER of all. That is why they have come up with this paperless ticket thing. To make themselves more money.

  • mate, i know exactly how you feel. i bought a ticket for AC/DC in toronto and was lucky enough to get one for the 4th row!! But i purchased it using my girlfriends credit card as my own one is maxed out. i live in nova scotia which is a 2 hour flight from toronto so she cant come but i will have her credit card and my own id. phoned ticketmaster and got same response and i am in the same sitaution as you and will have to hope that the staff at the arena are more understanding

  • i agree with you 100%,went to see metallica at the o2 arena last week and it was paperless ticketing, BUT, we had to queue OUTSIDE the venue at booths to show i.d. and give credit cards then to my astonishment they go in the back and fetch your real (paper)ticket and give it to you.Firstly there is nothing paperless about it and secondly I could have gone straight to the parking lot and sold them if I'd wanted. Waste of time, money and effort if you ask me, and thats without issues u brought up

  • Wow... that's even worst than I realized... Thanks for adding more to the point. I only made this video for a little fun and to let people know more about it so they won't get burned by Ticketmaster.

Your info makes this video even more valuable to ticket buyers.

    Thanks

  • yes, I'm in the u.k. btw in case that makes a difference. I forgot to say that there were only 6 window booths for the entire venue, so thats a 17,000 capacity sold out crowd queueing to pick up the exact same ticket stub they used to post to you! great vid btw

  • I fuckin' hate them Ticketmaster "ticketbastards." One, for attempting to get rid of the stubs (which are precious to me for my sporting events), like "Ticketfast" or "Paperless Ticket," and second for screwing people over with the damn "convenience" and other service charges.

Concert and sports fans, although different, have one thing in common: they can unite and put-up the finger to those Ticketbastards!

  • These paperless tix are fucking bullshit. What happens if you get sick and can't make it? What if you get better tickets and want to dump the old ones? What about if you want to buy some for your kids or a present for your friend? BULLSHIT.

  • p.s. what happened to your piano version of don't go away by oasis.... thats what i'd subscribed to your channel for in the first place.

    it was amazing.

  • i see your side completely. its ridiculous but im sure that by the time AC/DC comes to town, they'll have figured something out by then.

ive actually work event security in TORONTO and have been doing so for the past 6 years... theres always problems with wristbands, tickets, backstage passes the first few times a new system is introduced... and even know thatt some of the policies are retarded. but i can assure you bro these things will always work out so that the fans dont get screwed over

  • JUST TO BE CLEAR TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T GET THIS... I am NOT a scalper - I'm just a music fan who got brushed off by Ticketmaster's CUSTOMER SERVICE when I called for help with my 'Paperless Tickets'.

I am NOT sympathetic to scalpers - BUT I DON'T CONSIDER Ticketmaster to be our saviors from scalper prices...They're just as bad!

So instead of doing nothing - I'm actually doing something to get the word out about the problem ...(With a bit of humor!)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • They actually promote scalpers. They allow you to resell the tickets on their site for much more than face value.

  • I agree... Scalpers fucked us. I'm not against having assigned names put on tickets - but having to produce the purchasing credit card at the event is silly... the tickets were a gift from my dad (who lives in another country) That's a ridiculous flaw in their system!

  • I love the video..

  • While this is a well made video it's the assholes ticket agency/scalpers that caused this. It will be nice to be able to go online at 10:00 a.m. and get decent seats. It will be nice to go to a concert without seeing all those druggies saying "need one--got one". All you greedy bastards did it all to yourself.

  • absolutely right....

but you gotta realize that this would seriously screw scalpers over, which is is something they're used to doing to people like me....

have you ever had to ay $220 to see U2 from the highest nosebleed section? i have... cause thats how much the scalper wanted....

i was even one of those guys who logged on to ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale, but i still didnt get any....

i think this would help most, not all, real fans out.

  • It's good in theory BUT

    1. Ticketmaster themselves own TICKETNOW which is a company that Re-Sells event tix at a premium... So they're no better!

    2. The reality is many fans don't buy tickets on their own credit cards. They often use friends or Family cards because of age or monetary level... You shouldn't need to own a credit card to see a band you love!

It's easy to applaud the "supposed upside" of this system cause Scalpers DO suck... but for many of us - it makes it EVEN harder!
