Personally, I feel that their old style was better. But what I really want to say is that I really love christian bands whose lyrics aren't too overtly or obviously christian (but christian nonetheless), so they can evangelize and appeal to a more secular crowd without turning them off by being "too" christian. Some of Kutless' tunes are too good or what? So is the real problem the music, or someone's perspective of what christian music is supposed to be and sound like? Get real people.

If you think having heavy or rock type worship songs don't make the song or/and the band Godly, think again.

There's a lot of Christian bands that make heavy, rock, and metal songs, that at the same time are worshipping God. They're not making all those songs to go from "whoop pee doop let's worship God" to "la la la let's sing and get rich", no, not at all. And besides, Kutless isn't the only band that's rockingn out:

Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, Disciple, Skillet, and a whole lot more..

@joesamluk how is hard rock sinful? God made music and his word can be expressed in all forms and styles. Praise isn't only in "hymns" or whatever dude. Plus it doesn't matter how God is spread as long as it brings glory to him, I'm sure there's a scripture for that. Besides at least these guys don't go drinking and cuss in their lyrics while trying to make it big. They have worship albums too and their not that heavy at all. So I'd appreciate it if you weren't so judgmental over certain styles

IMO those kind of genres are already not that Christ Centered...

When someone kills the drums, the people shout his name... not His name... When someone kills the guitar, the people jump and scream his name...

I think those genres are Self-centered and not Christ-centered....

It doesn't mean that the lyrics is Christ-centered but the way you play is like you let yourself get the glory...
