Well once again today this song had came into my head after not hearing it played in over 25+ years, and once again did a google search with the few words I have remembered of it, and I found this in my search! AWESOME!
Only heard it played a few times on WSOU, a local college radio station here in NJ, back in the very early 80's...now I have the "sound" once again, besides my memory of it! :)
all i remmebr is seeing them live in a frat house 1985 and the bass player was a bulky cleancut dude who was very serious about soundchecking his bass...........to the point of ocd.
One look at this vid tells you a lot about this band. They mocked and sneered at you, all the while being tremendously entertaining. One of my all-time favorites and certainly most underrated and unknown groups ever. Damn I'm so mad now that I sold all of my NT vinyl to a used record store....nevermind that I don't have a turntable anymore. Thanks jackhug for the upload!
No words to express my joy for this vid! Now I am going to play "Hanging out in Georgetown" – or should I better say "The man who gave birth" ;) at maximum volume in an endless loop all night long.
What kind of guitar is Frank playing? The guy has a sound of his own and it is all sorts of fantastic. Great influence on the way I try to handle my guitar from time to time. Thanks for this video, sir. First footage I've ever seen of them.
Actually this recording was originally released on 7" vinyl. It was later rerecorded with a different line-up and released as a 12". That is probably the version you're familiar with.
This is clever
