  • Step 1. Play this song, with or without headphones

Step 2. Close your eyes, keep them closed till the end

Step 3. If you smoke, light up a cigarette. If not, just nevermind

Step 4. Dont move a muscle

Step 5. Wait till the song ends

    Step 6. Open your eyes

    Enjoy your day

  • the fuck is this?

    the fuck is that?

    the fuck are you?

  • It's so good to see bands that treat music like more than a business, and Radiohead is definitely one of them.

  • god, what overrated crap. I love ok computer, kid a was fine, this is just absolute nonsense. if this can pass off as 'art', i can compose 10 songs like this in a day. single drum loop, a synth, simple bass line, wailing voice, nonsensical lyrics.. >.<

  • @panniize Listen to the live version from the basement, its a bit more accessible and you might find it more to your tastes. Some of the songs on TKOL take a couple listens to really enjoy (I know that sounds snobbish, but i've actually found it to be the case with this album). Even though I understand that you might not like the claim that you could do better in a day isn't descriptive of the whole album, and i think you underestimate the difficulty and quality of RH's work. Happy listening!

  • @panniize Listen to it stoned, with headphones, and then come back.

  • @UNBASHDub If you have to be stoned to enjoy good music then I feel sorry for you man

  • @panniize that's why they made the basement version. a lot better for ok computer fans. the studio version was directed to i guess younger listeners.

  • @panniize you can sing like thom? that's pretty amazing! good on you.

  • @panniize ...What a funny guy, really. C'mon, go to sleep. That's the best you can do.

  • @billscorpse Another pretentious dick. Welcome.

  • @panniize "Nonsensical lyrics" seems to play more into Kid A and Amnesiac more than anything. TKOL just screams of 'nature' and other suitably floral themes. It's definitely more rendered down and simplistic than their past work. That might be where the charm lies, though. I certainly grew to like the album more.

  • This song just makes me think of the ocean - Being in the deep ocean - surrounded by water - Its all shimmery sounds and echo - I wonder If I'm way wide of the mark with this - does anybody else get this ???

  • ! blawan rmx !

  • Just like Kid A and Amnesiac where brother albums in a lot of ways, i think The King of Limbs is their missing third brother.

  • great bass line and vocals. can't wrap my head around the drums and random beeping in the background.

  • i was lucky to hear this pice of art, for the first time at a recording studio.

sitting centered to the monitors at the sweet spot

    felt like heaven

  • Thanks for posting!

  • My favorite part was between 0:00 and 0:00

  • @phoenixmakesmehard mine too.

  • I came in here to see if the "popping" noise in the background was on other people's tracks. Kind of distracting :o

  • aaahhhhh i've gone bannanas i love radiohead , aaaahhh!

( and it's NOT these 800000000 billion view bullshit teenage disposable song )

  • Incredible

  • I was listening to this song on iTunes, and I just had to go on youtube to say this is probably my favorite song in the world right now

  • I've come to realize that as a shallow over-generalization, this is the "Everything In It's Right Place" of 2011.

  • @cKunke2 I totally agree

  • it's very beaty, with lots of umphy stuff going on, poor Thom the tormented soul, music is his passion with umphy beats driving his blunderous mind and setting new goals, with every tip and every tap. Some people say that this song is crap. without a soul they wouldn't know.

  • You hear this Chris Martin, this is something you can never do, you and your talentless band can never comprehend. Stick to singing songs with Rihana.

  • From about 2:45 and on my head just spins! Dizzy with thoughts and images flooding me. It blows my mind and, no I'm not on anything!

  • @pucamila It's beautiful, right? It's the static noise that surrounds us daily. The hustle of life on every plain of existence--the cellular to the flesh. Movement, life.

And then a heavenly voice breaks through the static with his message, "Why does it (life, death) still hurt? Don't blow your mind with why." Just know that we are all one on some level. We are tuned to the same frequency.

Really wish I had the talent to bring the visions I have when I hear this song to film.

  • People passing, cars, whirling lights, blurs.............

Woman smiling, smile, smile, people walking fast motion, baby crying, flowers growing, street light--red, green, yellow, red, people passing, cars driving, blurs.........

Sunsetting, sunrising, tides in, tides out, walking on the beach, hands holding, a kiss, making love, swinging round and round, blurs...............

This song is about time passing before us and all around us

  • @Folieadeux2637 That is exactly my opinion towards this song!!! How on earth were you spot on? I love listening to bloom when I am walking at midnight on the streets and I see all the city lights passing by me and analyzing all the people... JUST like you said just...

  • @Folieadeux2637 great :)

  • WOW! Since OK Computer Radiohead have gone from brilliant to good to mediocre to crap.

  • @redplague Are you shitting me? You call Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows, King of Limbs and all the extras and b-sides of those albums mediocre/crap? Wow. Just wow.

  • A lot of indie bands in New York started using this effect, where sounds that are generally toned down drown out the vocals just when they get to the most powerful lyrics.

  • Ohhh i love this sooooonng.

    !!

  • never knew radio head did this kinda stuff im a convert.

  • DUDE! i went nuts listening to this once i was on the train, closed eyes and just "Thom Yorke grooved to it" all the people were just looking at me like WTF!

  • Basement version is 10000x times better tbh.

  • this band is so ahead of their time, I saw their live performance on Colbert Report. amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • These guys always manage to be orignal and different in each album

  • Wow, they did an amazing job on the Colbert Report. Probably best musical performance i have ever seen on t.v.

  • @mission855 totally agree that colbert report performance was amazing

  • @mission855 yeah, i was blown away. i remember when i first listened to the king of limbs, 6 months ago, and I thought it was meh, except for "Seperator", which I couldn't stop listening to. and now I am totally hooked on the entire album. after seeing them on colbert (one of my favorite tv shows), i had to get tickets to see them live, too! and now i'm listening to their older stuff like in rainbows, kid a, etc and am in love.

  • Great start for an amazing album. Does anyone see a connection between the offbeat drums on this song and "Videotape"? Maybe it's just me...

  • @Ian4Siochan Yeah i totally do! They have really polyrhythmic drums on both songs, it's something they picked up from jazz around kid a.

  • now what exactly did masdevalliamind ryt ?

  • is this battletoads

  • I love the empty line in the base riff directly after the 5th and highest peak. It gives a great texture.

  • Remember when Radiohead used to be the best ROCK band in the world? Good times...

  • @papagriz33 this is rock but its a reaaaaaaaaaaaally alternative one

  • @papagriz33 Yeah, they just turned into the best band in the world. Not so bad :)

  • is this mutemath

  • 1:14 fap noise ? o_O

  • I think this is a ok track...at least sounds better than the whole "In Rainbows"

  • Comment removed

  • This is so fucking indie fucking hell im indie.

  • @eitrig Define Indie.

  • @HudsonB616 gay

  • love this while on acid in a padded room with 3 chickens to keep me company?

  • do i hear a little of flying lotus's ( dance floor stalker ) in there?

  • 2:16 to 3:25 absolute epicness

  • nice jazzy bassline

  • Thumbs up if you miss the Pablo Honey/Bends/Ok Computer Radiohead

  • @atheg74 No, as a matter of fact I don't miss their emo angsty albums and very much prefer their latest work.

  • @TheCraziestMonkey haha, too bad it was before your "emo" generation came along, emo's not a thing of the 90's

  • @atheg74 Regardless, that doesn't change what it is.

  • "Don't Blow Your Mind With Why.."

  • This is my favortie song on the album. The rest is kinda meh. I mean Separator is nice and Lotus Flower is cool but overall it's a disappointment. And I'm a huge Radiohead fan.

  • @WickedLiquid I understand what you mean man but I wouldn't say it's a disappointment. I mean sure it's only eight songs and I only listen to like four but at least Radiohead is getting alot of renown for this. Overall, it's a good album that lacked a little something from other albums but I think we can both agree this is a great song :)

  • @sweatyballs75 Oh yeah, totally. I mean for KOL was a disappointment but Radiohead has a lot of balls. They tried something new, it didn't work for me, but I am really digging the new songs coming out like Staircase, the Daily Mail, etc.

  • @WickedLiquid yea my favorites are this, little by little, and seperator. but lotus flower is good too ;)

  • stop fighting and enjoy the music!

  • This tripped the shit out of me.

  • This album keeps growing on me more and more, it has too be one of my favorites from them, and that's a HUGE thing to say for me because their my favorite band. This song is amazing, once again Radiohead are crafting tunes that don't sound quite like anything else.

  • people don't like the studio recordings because they are too alien for them to digest

and this is precisely why i loved the album because it was something new-ish

  • any song that sings about jellyfish is alright by me.

  • fantastic

  • This is my favorite radiohead album

  • You're all stupid.

  • @TheBiomanic <dumbass

  • Amo esta canción loco jajaja

  • mannnnnn, this is cool

  • i love you idioteque, but i believe i have a new favorite radiohead song.

  • This sounds very Fly-lo, anybody else think so?

  • Lol, How can you say his music has soul since he dosen't cause he's a ginger! D: "gasp"

  • Fine album.... WORST ALBUM ART EVER. what gives?

  • @gamera84 its good man i promise, just stare harder

  • @maximaman380 I agree....I like the text with the clipping mask and the limbs of trees within it.

  • Best tracks of this Album : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.

  • 0:00-0:08 omg

  • strange world

    COOL!

  • jeesh i find this kind of creepy and intense

Lilsoulja4eva whoa...whoa just calm down it'll be ok, itl be ok

  • @DeathMetalViper True , fuck trolls like him im just gonna enjoy this song once again

  • @Lilsoulja4eva I am not the one who is a Radiohead fan comparing Coldplay to radiohead. I like both, but Radiohead better.

  • @Lilsoulja4eva it is so funny that coldplay fanboys insult Radiohead when they don't even know that Chris Martin adores Thom. he would happily suck his cock and workship him as his god. He admires how awesome Radiohead is, yet a bit unknown, and even if Martin didn't want to, Coldplay has turned in another meaningless mainstream band.

so, insult them as much as you want, Radiohead fans don't use to make riots, and preffer to ignore piontless and pitiful trolling, like yours

  • @Lilsoulja4eva Coldplay sucks Radiohead's large enduring cock. Now shut the fuck up faggot and go die in a hole.

  • Tom York is a musical GOD!!!!!!!

  • @Markossantos

    Thom Yorke

  • @aijunk2 thx 4 the free lesson, now I can find them quicker in the recordstore :-) (anyway my excuse....I am Dutch! LOL) We wright them like we seen them hahahhaa

  • @Markossantos

    No problem :)

  • Wtf radiohead...

  • 21 people could not open their mouthes wide.

  • Man sounds like FlyLo had a pretty powerful impact on this one

  • Like a flowing river, swirling, crashing, rising. The sun shimmering - Bouncing on the surface. The trees whispering, swaying with the melody. Plunge yourself into the sound, immerse yourself, lose yourself.

  • Song is haunting mind. I don't mind.

  • Silence of Portishead

  • WHATS WITH ALL THE FUCKING DISLIKES?????

  • I hate niggers

  • @MrYorkyporky why would you say that wtf

  • @SweeTipiez Because I hate Nig Nogs!!

  • @MrYorkyporky but what does that have to do with anything...

  • @SweeTipiez Because it does silly.

  • @MrYorkyporky thats fucked up if your referring to black people. im black, and i love radiohead an to see that on a song of theres is FUCKED UP

  • @SweeTipiez Shut it nignog

  • @MrYorkyporky what a dickhead

  • @nickquayle Look, calling yourself that is no good. Gain some self esteem you bird brain. Have a shag or lick a dirty minge. Just don't call yourself a dickhead. Call your dad a dickhead, if you have got one.

Do you subscribe to rape porn online? I bet you do, I bet you sit all alone at night pulling the head off it to a bit of good old rape porn. Do you smoke black willy yourself? I bet you do.

Do you finger your sister's minge and bum while she sleeps? I bet you do.

  • @MrYorkyporky You're a sick bugger.

  • @TheTestingGrounds Funny though

  • Peaceful music

  • My brain hurts after listening to this song, the whole album is a joke.

  • @bjgrimoari your life is a joke laddie

  • I love Radiohead, they always & will forever transcend in a new creative direction that pushes new sounds in music. People who dislike Radiohead are simply ignorant & don't know their previous music.

  • i dont get angry at people for having an opinion(sometimes) but i think if bands like radiohead took over the likes of lady gaga and kesha in popularity the world would be a better place.

  • mindless music? You could never compose a record anywhere close to any radiohead record ever put out, you are the one who lacks the soul. You are the one who is the ball licker!

  • 17 people are missing out

  • i needed to learn how they make those crazy noises that i love so very much

  • ehh, not too good. but im still gonna download it

  • GREAT!!! I dont know why, but the intro remembers me something of silent hill :s

    EXCELLENT SONG

  • I want to make love to this music holy shit

  • Download for free... PakkOut [dot] com

  • Jesus Almighty Christ, this song really put my mood down.. ugh.

  • LOOPS AND LOOPS AND LOOPS AND LOOPS AND LOOPS AND MORE LOOPS

  • Comment removed

  • Hoodrych :P

  • Me provoca algo que no puedo describir

  • this is fucking great!!!!!!!!!!

  • @331username most people seem to enjoy crappy mindless music with no artistic value. you are one of many drones who lack soul

  • @masdevalliamind wow you must have a lot of soul with a response like that. by 'mindless' i assume you mean formulaic, and by 'artistic' the opposite? it's creative, but the constant drum loop is much too narrow and repetitive for a 5 minute song. having soul doesn't guarantee a satisfying listen.

  • @masdevalliamind I love this song, but it did take me a while, the classical sequence is perfection. I can, however, understand why some people may find this song uneasy and difficult. This doesn't make anyone who likes this song superior among those people, referred to by you as, "one of many drones who lack soul". Accept creative differences for christ sake! Your difficult judgement is far harder to grasp that this song will ever be!

  • @masdevalliamind Ugh. I can't stand it when Radiohead fans think they are better than other people and crap on about how people who listen to the radio are drones. Radiohead are my favourite band ever, but seriously, fuck off.

  • @masdevalliamind Having artistic value and soul are sort of on opposite sides of a spectrum. This is artistic. He wants something with soul.

  • @masdevalliamind It's pretentious twats like you that give the rest of Radiohead's fanbase a bad image.

  • @Saru2191 the fuck are you talking about? defending radioheads music gives their fanbase a bad image?

  • @Saru2191 It's hipsters like you that listen to Radiohead because it's ironic and overuse the word pretentious.

  • @dasin88 Now I'm curious, how does one even "ironically" listen to music? How can you also say that I overuse the word 'pretentious' when you've clearly only heard me say it once? Stupid logic, my friend.

  • @masdevalliamind it's called opinion dumbass.

  • @331username I don't like radiohead, but you're a complete idiot

  • @331username Ummm....what the FUCK??

  • @331username I know this was 3 weeks ago, but I'd like you to know I can sing, hum, and tap my foot to this easily. I didn't put dance there, because I don't like dancing. So those of us who like this aren't really missing anything. I enjoy this whole album- no, I enjoy every single Radiohead song. But you do have your opinion. I hope you change your mind one day. Good day, sir or madam.

  • @331username motherfucker.. it's called MUSIC

  • @331username this kind of music is for deep minded people, you're not part of it, so keep on listening to your dance music, tap your feet on it and don't come here trying to open our eyes on things where only yours are closed... thanks

  • @331username

tap your foot to this and shut up please.

  • @wayfarin hahaha

  • @331username Dude, WHAT?!?!? I find myself humming this bass-line to myself all the time. LOL You sir are way out of line their...!

  • @331username Strange you mentioned that because just got finished humming, singing, dancing, and tapping my feet for 5 minutes and 14 seconds.

  • this is the best song on TKOL

  • i like this more than the old ,more guitar orientated songs, radio head songs

  • Anyone else notice how when you start typing radiohead king of limbs, radioactive by Kings of Leon pops right up and vice versa? Weird coincidence or planned marketing?

  • pallosa

  • Radiohead goes really electronic here, I'm a huge fan and I say is not that good, I don't expect guitars or Kid A effects, I just think is really repetitive, the album is awesome but not THAT awesome. I liked the idea of put it just 8 songs as well. It has really catchy songs and really enjoyable, but I think it misses some old stuff, just because I'm a fan doesn't mean I have to like every single song that they do. Overall: 3.5/5

  • one word....bravi!!!

  • Hmmm. Well somebody told me I only liked the album because I am an immense Radiohead fan. Took a week break from the album and Radiohead. Listened to some of my other favorites like Burial, Four Tet (Ironically), Atmosphere, Tame Impala, Madvillian, Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan, NIN etc etc etc. Anyways come back to this album and I actually like it more now so I think it is quite an album, yes yes.
