Dunsparce can't do all that much against Pokemon with high defense or that are resistant to it's attacks. It would either be a long drawn out match-up, or the other guy would have a strong enough attack to KO Dunsparce in one/two hits.

Alakazam maxes out at 405 sp.atk, Deoxys attack form maxes out at 504 ap.atk, Clamperl with deepseatooth maxes out at 542 (540 with hidden power electric). So as you can see, Clamperl is more than just "Slightly stronger" than alakazam, it rapes it. Nice battle though.

Your best bet is diving in Ruby/Sapphire. In Diamond and Pearl you have to fish with a Super Rod at Routes 219 or 221. It's a rare catch, though.

route 219 or 221 they show up at levels 20-30 theres a 40% chance one will show up. on route 219 they only apear by the shore so they wont apear when your fishing using surf.oh yeah and use the super rod

You should have stalled with Cradily (Recover) until Trick Room was over.

That's what I was trying to do. Notice I boosted my Special Defense? I was trying to soften the blows, and then Recover. It usually works.

(By the way, his Ice Beam took about 3/4 of my health; if I used Recover I'd be put back to about 3/4 of my health. Next turn would be just as ugly as what happened in the video.)

Add in DeepSeaTooth (doubles his sp atk)

And that's 542

Its defenses are sort of bad though.

Def = 269 Neutral Nature

Sp Def = 209 Neutral Nature

Its a pure Glass Cannon. I have been wanting one of those for a while now....

Well, you could start by maxing his speed and giving him a Nature to take advantage of that (like Jolly). Then you can help him out by giving him a disabling move... although he doesn't seem to have much, maybe Swagger. Consider items as well, Focus Sash will ensure you survive at least two turns, for example.

Honestly though, you may need somebody to set up your Girafirig (by putting the opponent to sleep, or something) so that your Girafirig may set up your Steelix!

that was smart to use serene grace on bite. the best moves for a serene grace-dunsparce are rock smash and charge beam because the chances of lowering defence or raising special attack increases to 100%

They chose Bronzor probably because it's the slowest Trick Roomer without a type already represented by someone else on the team and because its Defense and Sp. Def allow it to withstand an attack to set up the Trick Room.

I'll bet that's why Duskull is in here too...though it also has Pain Split.

That did cross my mind, although overall Bronzong would be more of a threat; if he was worried about the bit of extra speed, give the Pokemon an item that weighs him down.

I like how he went with the lesser evolution anyway. You rarely see that unless it's a new player testing their in-game team online.
