A part of me beleives she is innocent. Like come on, why would she kill Meredith? She had absolutely no reason to murder her. The only DNA evidence was a highly contested sample on the handle of a knife found in Rapheals apartment. A knife that could of easily been borrowed from Amanda and Meredith's apartment. The Cell phone evidence was circumstantial with a theory concocted to fit the phone records. All this is set against an obvious murder suspect in the shape of Rudy Guede. The only question is how probable is it the amanda would of conspired with Rude in the killing.

Last point: The cops in Italy are legally required to tape record conversations taken at the station. That's to protect the rights of suspects. Where are those tape recordings? Oh, there are none. So none of their conflicting changing statements should be admissible either. So there goes the lack of alibi. They could make a new one. Then Rudy was found. If they had have sat tight and waited for him to be found, Amanda would be CO-writing a great book right now in Seattle.
The thing is, they got played hard by the Italian cops who put them in separate rooms and played them off against each other. They are young and naive and even fell for the suggestion that they write diaries (which are really just statements that can later be used against them).

The only DNA evidence was a highly contested sample on the handle of a knife found in Rapheals apartment. A knife that could of easily been borrowed from Amanda and Meredith's apartment. The Cell phone evidence was circumstantial with a theory concocted to fit the phone records. All this is set against an obvious murder suspect in the shape of Rudy Guede. The only question is how probable is it the amanda would of conspired with Rude in the killing.

Last point: The cops in Italy are legally required to tape record conversations taken at the station. That's to protect the rights of suspects. Where are those tape recordings? Oh, there are none. So none of their conflicting changing statements should be admissible either. So there goes the lack of alibi. They could make a new one. Then Rudy was found. The crime was just so random and so pointless, and the lack of good DNA evidence (the bra clasp would probably be inadmissible in the USA due to video proof that it was moved and not noticed for a month or so after the murder.
Also, there is no real smoking gun putting RS and AK at the scene. The footprint could be disputed.
The most damning evidence is the testimony of a homeless guy and a shop clerk. Think a homeless guy draws a lot of water in the USA? If this were in the US....

I hope that both the Knox and Sollecito families successfully sue for false imprisonment and defamation. Reading the case in its entirety, it is clear that Meredith was the victim of a burglary gone wrong. Amanda and Raffaele have been the sacrificial lambs of a corrupt police dept., Italian justice system and prejudice: There was not a shred of concrete evidence to connect them to Meredith on Nov.1, 2007. They were convicted purely on supposition and vicious gossip.

@iambillym1 Look simpleton, I think it is you who is deluded. Have you ever attempted to read the facts and information regarding this case, or do you just have tunnel vision and are not prepared to look at the other side of the coin? I have spent hours and hours researching this case and have no doubt whatsoever that this is a wrongful conviction. Thanks for your comment, anyway.

@kathrynwatersful YOU are totally losing it, Kathryn. Of course I have read the facts and information regarding this case. I've posted lots of it here(and I won't repeat myself), incontrovertible evidence that you cannot explain away, the accumulation of which proves that Amanda and Raffaele were involved in the murder. Amanda, in one of her versions of the story, admits that she was there at the murder scene. And please don't insist she was coerced into it--that's just another one of her lies.
