  • is good music

  • I wish there was a version of this song with no stupid Godzilla crap in it.

  • ''I Will Be King''

  • It's a solid cover.

  • pinche rola mamalona

  • ¿Dónde quedaron bandas como éstas? chale u.u

  • 2:14 AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Godzilla!!!!!!! This song was on that movie?

  • How did a song about the fall of the Berlin Wall turn into a song for Godzilla?

  • I think this version is actually better than the original song. Sorry Mr Bowie.

  • Great version of David Bowie's Song. :)

  • @LiiLpRiiNcEsSs Indeed, the best version of Bowie's Heroes song.

  • remember when CGI like that was AMAZING????

  • Amo BOWIE e ADORO essa versão do wallflowers #dignissimo

  • it fits better in the replacements with keneu reeves

  • demaciado buena esta cancion fulll lo mejor me gusta soy de venezuela y lo que escucho es pura musica en ingles

  • The Replacements ^_^

  • Godzilla was standing outside the building, watching The Wallflowers through the window with his big yellow lizard eye, while humming the song.

  • El hijo del gran Bob Dylan!

  • Didn't know that Mr. Bean used to be a great singer.

  • If I could say one of the most hottest guys from the 90's who sings, writes, and is still alive.... JAKOB DYLAN....... I FUCKING LOVEEEEE UUUU

  • Shut up, Godzilla. I can't hear The Wallflowers!

  • Such a waste of a good music on a dumb movie!!!

  • @louislaja83 I'm a fan of Godzilla (Not little zilla, aka this movie) and a fan of quality music, aka Bowie :)

but yeh, seems they just took all of the most popular songs of the 90's and stuck em in there

  • This is probably the most isolated track by The Wallflowers. I had to actually buy the "Godzilla" sountrack for this one song. The movie sucks and so does the rest of the soundtrack. The Wallflowers are so awesome!

  • @spacefreak09 I disagree. The tracks by David Arnold at the end of the soundtrack are also great. But I pretty much agree with everything else you said. What a horrid letdown this movie was...

  • I hate copyright UMG, the wallflowers forever in my mind

  • It's like Bob and Bowie were tossed through the grinder of the grunge 90's and out came Jakob and this song.

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this song when Godzilla came out! love the electric guitar along with his voice

  • What is the name of the girl in the videoclip?

  • An actuall videoclip that is better than the whole movie...

  • APPLAUSE

  • Jakob is actually a very good solo artist. Check him out. He does his father proud.

  • Me encanta!!!!!!!♥

  • I love the stone cold fox going for milk in middle of total frickin k-os. She's like thinking "i'm gona have cereal in the morning so i need milk" then she pays for it even though the clerk is long gone. She's a cool flippin baby mother f-ers !

  • @SnakePliscan2 It's cream and it's for her coffee. She's seen it all before, she's excited about coffee and dance rehearsal in the morning, and the Wallflowers are singing in her apartment. Life is good.

  • I was about to type "Thank gawd they did a straight cover..." when the giant lizard tail came crashing in through the window.

  • Great fucken song, Shitty Ass Movie!~

ITs not dude, Its Double J to you!~

  • Jakob Dylan is on my Bucket List.

  • This is shit. David Bowie forever.

  • i really like how they do soundtrack music for movies like this back in the days

    its actually pretty creative

  • only 1,371,964 views?? this song should deserve hell more than that! this is considered freaking classic!

  • by the way if she reads this : you're pretty when you move, and you're even prettier when you write :)

  • For the rest of us who like girls even more than music :^)

A google search for the actress in the video sends to Carmen Llywelyn

Her blog is bookofgirl on blogspot (for her comments on the video see "The Wallflowers - Heroes" entry dated January 16th 2007 )

Sadly it doesn't seem active anymore but there are still wise and poetic words worth to read; don't know her, hope she's ok

    see also wikipedia (Carmen_Llywelyn)

  • que buena canción compuso david bowie para que la cantara wallflowers excelente banda

  • I love Bowie, but this version of the song just speaks to me more for some reason.

  • I tried but it's not Bowie...... it just doesn't even come close. And I know that's not the point of covers, but it just doesn't have the passion

  • 74 people don't want to be heroes...

  • Jakob Dylan is amazing. Continues to talest of his father.

  • Brings back good times.

  • Best quote from the movie The Replacements, "Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever. "

  • David who?

  • @megibops lol...exactly

  • @3KOBAIN Aussie band Icehouse does a great version of heroes

  • I didn't realize Godzilla was into Bowie.

  • @RDBeatnik He isn't. He does like this song. If The Wallflowers would have stop playing, he would have left. DAMN YOU WALLFLOWERS!!!!

  • we can got back to 90's for just one day

  • Whos here for Godzilla!

  • @EdwardAlbaNevarez not me, just the Wallflowers

  • I've always remembered this song ever since I saw Replacements all those years ago.

  • ??????? why bother.

  • Damn hes gorgrous

  • its amazing how the top comments have nothing to do with the song

  • This version makes Bowie's look like THE GODLIKE MASTERPIECE THAT IT IS.

  • I think the tiny bit out of Moulin Rouges "Elephant Love Medley" kicks every version of this songs, ass...

  • 69 dislikes?! What the hell!

  • Nobody can top Bowie's original...NOBODY

  • @rorolexnyc i take it you dont like the oasis version then

  • this song is great! whoever says that it sucks doesn't anything about what good music is..screw you man!

  • he sounds like his dad soooooo much

  • @urphobik But looks so much hotter.

  • Wuah, Jacob Dylan is freakin HOT!!!!!!

  • Why isn't this song available on ITUNES????

  • this suck

  • hmmmmm who does the lead singer remind me of?

  • @Katichic Bob Dylan?

  • I don't think of Godzilla or The replacements, i think of Hazel eyes black hair of HAWTNESS! .... actually I think of Godzilla lol

  • It's weird. I don't even think about Godzilla when I hear this song, I think of the Replacements.

  • @dembirdscanfly This song came out before that movie. Besides, i heard a slightly different version of this song at the end of that movie.

  • @inception4ever I know, but I felt they used the song better and it fit with the story ten times better.

  • back when much music had real music

  • This is so much better than the David Bowie version.

  • @AtariMeth0d No, it's not.

  • @AtariMeth0d you suck too

  • GODZILLA! RAAAAAR

  • 90's 4 life!!!!!! the music was so great!!

  • I liked this version better than the original, and lets face it Jakob Dylan is much cuter than Bowie....

  • No, the original song was in English and was written by David Bowie and Brian Eno in 1977

  • Is this basically the English version of Helden by Apocalyptica?

  • @Ryan1159 Does Apocalyptica even do any original stuff? I thought they mostly do covers.

  • How could this song be at No. 16 position?

  • Better than Bowie's version, although of course Bowie wrote it!

  • this is the only Wallflowers song I ever liked, and it unfortunately had to be on the soundtrack to that horrible Godzilla movie.

  • @BlayzedBlue well if it's of any consolation, this song was also the closer to Keanu Reeve's "The Replacements", a very fun movie IMO.

  • great I love it! both the song and video!

  • replacements <3

  • Whoever disliked no longer my friend.

  • Ofcoarse Bowie did it better but I like The Wallflowers.

  • this song was from the 90's yes but does anyone realize this is a remake?

  • Hated the movie, but the soundtrack is great!

  • When he sings soft he kind of sounds like his dad.

  • two words:Godzilla soundtrack

  • I know this is a David Bowie song, but Jakob covered it well!!!! Way to go J.D.

  • I wish I can Sing. Like the Wallflowers can Sing.

  • @phsychofreaky I wish you could use proper sentences. Retard.

  • @BmoneyRad I was gonna leave a comment, but you left it for me; Thank you.

  • @phsychofreaky I wish I could sing; like the wallflower's sing

  • i love the composition.

  • he is cute :3

  • why does Rebecca Black have millions of more views than this?? The world is officially doomed :(

  • @hyperdog67 Yeah I know that haha it's just everytime I heard this song in the film I wondered who it was.

  • I've loved this song for years...only found out it's the wallflowers and I've loved the wallflowers for years..lol

  • @MrJadeHannah you do know that this is a David Bowie song right?

  • who's the lady in the video? anyone knows? tried the net. did not find anything.

  • @rmmbrnglrds IDK but I think she was one of the stars in the 2000s remake of The Hills Have Eyes.

  • @birdduh thanks man!! would look into it then.

  • @rmmbrnglrds You're welcome! And I'll check it out, too!

  • I think Godzilla ruined this music video more so than that city.

  • @Comicteer stringer29 is right, dude. The Rwandan Genocide is amongst the biggest genocides in human history... no wars my ass.

  • buen cover, honestamente prefiero la versión original del maestro David Bowie, pero le salio chido a los wallflowers

  • I know this is weird, but I think this song was part of a medley in Moulin rouge lol I can't believe I found it, I had no idea it was this song :)

  • 68 people don't want to be a hero just for one day.

  • ur country its always in war so its no difence but 70s and 90s was the best time

  • who in helll are those flowers in the wall?

  • thumbs up if you think this was the best song from the Godzilla soundtrack (" If you liked that puff daddy song you suck")

  • @chrismcdonald16602 A girl on my bus asked if she could borrow this CD from me for the ride home in June 98. I agreed, if she "promised to listen to at something other than Come With Me on the ride". She didn't. Five playings of CwM.

  • @CanadianGuitarist That girl did not know good music that come with me song sucked so bad this is good music

  • Godzilla...soundtrack better than the movie.

  • i think this version is better than david bowies

  • It's strange the way this song caught this kind of cheery optimism that was so very mid-late 90's. I love it. This is all pre-Millennium woes, pre-Bush, pre-9/11, pre-Katrina, pre-recession, etc. We could be heroes; what a wonderfully inspiring message that is to share with the world. Not even Godzilla, King of the God Damn Monsters, can put a damper on a message like that.

  • @Comicteer dude no man no. and war? do even remember desert storm?

  • Jakob Dylan is like a combonation of Bruce Springsteen, his father, himself, and, apparently, David Bowie..

  • I remember being like 8 and going on my godzilla DVD And pressing on this song and pretending to sing and everything oh my god man..sick

  • Are you insane?? I love my music hey, & I gotta say that Bowies original version was the most crapply sung song/film clip I think I have seen.. PATHETIC!! This KICKS his version hands down. Also, this was the first one that I heard, so maybe that might have something to do with it..?? Nothing against Bowie personally.. my wife loves him. :-))
