How to Coloring with only 8 pencil Colors

i have question, i draw in drawing books so if i colored my drawings with colored pencils, when i closed the book would the colors smear at all?

@AnimeOnStrings : Sometimes it smear. Make sure to not draw on the back of the paper, so it won't broke the picture. Scan it ASAP you finish it is the best way to keep it from broken DX Sorry if it's not really help.

First, I used orange and made some gradation, with darkest part in the part where shadows are. After that, I used peach for wider part, like, it was the palest color for skin I used. used gradation too, but used it moar spread than the orange. After that, I used red for the small detail, like the curve below eyes, upside the lips, etc. Sorry, I'm not good to explain it with word,s especially my English was bad OTL hope you can understand my lame explanation ^^:

Anyway, this showed me heaps about colouring, amazingly. Once I improve my faces a little bit, my drawings will look half as good as yours XD

Does it matter in which order he used the colors in? I'm used to doing darkest to lightest, but I don't get the same results. Although it might just be the brand. I use Prismacolor... so that might be it.

Well, I found ppl use different style, just use what you feel comfortable. Sometimes, I used darkest to lightest too, but that's depend on the part (I used that method in coloring skin, when I used lightest-darkest in coloring hair and clothes) Ah, and for wide part, it's better to not straight the pencil, and color with different path (left to right, up to down, and diagonal) so the color would blend more... Well, that's my method ^^; hope that would be helpful, I'm also a newbie in it OTL

I just erase it OwO use Faber Castle with 'Classic' type, it can be erased easily. Another brand or Faber Castle 'water color' type almost can't be erased ^^;; it's depend of the brand 8D but Faber CAstle is not expensive, so you can buy it easily ^^
