  • Amazing, accurate, necessary video. Thank you for doing this. It's helped me many times through my 8 months of dealing with this. I'm getting close to the finish line, but I still refer to this video on bad days. It's amazing that this syndrome is such a secret in the medical community.

    Be well all.

  • Thank you so much for this. I've been off of klonopin for five months now, and it's refreshing to hear about other people experiencing the same thing. I'll watch this from time to time, and symptoms have actually been getting worse.

  • This shit should be banned and the pharmaceutical companies held accountable. Nobody told me about the withdrawal situation getting off benzo's or how they damage the brain. Here again this bolsters another industry, withdrawal rehab services. This shit is life destroying. How the FDA could approve of this poison being released to the public is pure criminal. Big Pharma, rehab centers, all bringing in big bucks over peoples misery of which was caused by the very system itself. Wake up people!

  • what a great message---i will be listening to this frequently to remind myself. i've been in benzo withdrawal hell for far too long--seems like it will never end. i have to remind myself to stay at the taper instead of going up and then down only to go up again. how does one do that? finally off of the klonopin over 20 mg. daily for a decade down to 5 mg. valium.

  • Everything this woman is saying is true...I'm in the process of tapering and it's not that bad if you realize that the symptoms you are experiencing is only due to the benzo's. Just remember you have to do this slowly. If anyone wants to talk to me about this just private message me :)

  • @magpieeye

i would like to talk to someone about the hell i'm going through with the benzo withdrawal. i can handle the creepy terrifying neurological and physical symptoms but i am not able to handle the psychological and mind-f---! please help!

  • Thank you Bliss, very much - very healing..

  • Hi Everyone, I've done a new video with positive statements to help as a pick-me-up for anyone feeling discouraged. I hope you will like it. I can't post the link but do a search for Positive Self-Talk for Recovery and you will find it. I hope it will help in some way. Keep going... keep holding on, you will make it to recovery. Sincerely, Bliss

  • thank you... It has been so, so hard for me. I felt like giving up. I lost so very much from the benzo's and my family/friends dont understand... Thank you.

  • Beautiful and Helpful Content Here. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the video. I'm on day 10 without any Klonopin, after 5 years, 3mg/day. You're right, the positive thoughts are sooo important. I have to keep telling myself that every day that passes is one more day my brain is healing....and that it WILL get better. Sometimes it's moment by moment, but I will never take benzos again!

  • Its always good to know that there are others and that you are not alone :) thank you. It feels like S*** but its a really really slowly prosess feels like it will never go away....

  • This is so hard for me. I'm trying to do this while in law school and I can't cope anymore. No one understands what benzo withdrawal is - people think I'm nuts and they understand why. I'm considering going back on because if I fail out I'm done... I did the lsat in acute withdrawal... I thought I'd be done the withdrawal by now (I began in April of 2010). It's just so hard. I have no support, none. I'm so depressed that I'm posting on a random forum. I don't know what to do. Advice appreciated.

  • Thank you Baylissa. I'm going to start my tapering in the next 10 days. Your words bring hope. So many horror stories about Benzo withdrawal. Thoughts are most powerful. I'll be keeping mine positive as I take this step in my recovery. Peace.

  • I'm having tolerance withdrawal so excruciating and this made me cry! It gave me hope! Thank you so much!!!!!

  • Doing direct crossover from zopliclone to 20mg diazepam then slow taper, going through hell on earth at the moment but listening to you helps me a lot.

  • @robomanification

BenzoDetoxRecovery is the place that was the most help to me getting off Klonopin (2 mg.)

I took 14 months to taper off. Any quicker would have been even harder. You have to be committed, no half measure, and find a way to get theK. in solution (milk not water) so it can be evenly diluted. It's so worth it to get off that poison.

But once off, life gradually gets better and you get your mind back, more or less. Benzos are the most evil drug I've ever seen.

  • @Dulcimerea Hi thanks for your help. where can I find this K. in solution you speak of ?

  • ... if you are coming off, I meant to write.

  • Does anybody have shakes or tremors from withdrawal?

  • @MrVegiita Yes, I used to have them badly but they went as I got better. I would say sometime during the second year. Don't worry, it will go and you will begin to feel better. As Bliss says here, this will pass.

  • @iamwonderfulable thanks for your reply, i have major tremors for several months... i'm still on the benzo... your tremors stopped 2 years after withdrawal?

  • @MrVegiita A little less than 2 years but it doesn't matter the important thing is that anything caused by withdrawal will go away when the withdrawal ends. it might take a shorter time or longer but it will go away! Good luck with your taper. if you are coming on..

  • Thank you for making this video. I'm 2 years off Xanax. I was on 5mgs a day for 2 years. I'm great now, Wonderful! You all will be too!

  • Hi Everyone,

Thanks for leaving the kind remarks and positive feedback. I appreciate your taking the time to do so. Wishing you all continued healing... to your full recovery!!.

  • This is a great video that you can listen to over and over again to reassure yourself and very good tips too. Thank you for devoting your time to helping others.

  • Additional encouragement: No matter what stage you're at: still tapering or benzo free but having symptoms, please be patient with your nervous system. I know it's difficult when symptoms persist, but for some people, the dependency is deeper ingrained & more time is needed for the (temporarily) damaged receptors in the brain to heal. So, pls don't panic & think that you're never going to get better! So many before you have been through this & are now back to normal. This too, shall pass! : )

  • Baylissa, Thank you for your comforting words. They are helping me through my final push. I'm almost there ! Peace and love to you.

  • Please do not try cold turkey.

Two tries caused me stays at local mental ward.

    TAPER TAPER TAPER

took it for 20 yrs for medical use. Why not taper for 2

  • victim of benzo solved sleep problem at night for palpitations tremors , with 500 mg. tylenol before going to sleep... regular tylenol only,,do not take any medications that label says to help you sleep,,for these chemicals will counteract with the benzo in your body and wont let you sleep. you will sleep 4 hours for sure,,avoid more than two tylenols perday, not friendly with your liver.. the problem is physical, thats why medication for brain will not work...lightofgod@coqui.net

  • First, I am not a doctor. I am not really qualified, but was only giving my personal experience. I know that if you taper too quickly on benzos that it can cause seizures. So please be careful. The way I did it was too taper .5 milligrams, staying at each dose for 3 nights. I, like you, only took it at night. Consult your doctor. God Bless.

  • @robomanification

Just a word of hope. I was taking 4 to 5mg of klonopin a day. I decided to start tapering and tapered down .5 mgs a day with a reduction in dose every three days. I know that God helped me. I was terrified that I would experience "hellish" withdrawals. I DID NOT! Praise God! I was able to walk off klonopin with very little problems. Give it a shot! Dont quit cold turkey! Taper. God bless you. He did me!

  • @eatingcascade Ok good, thanks,,, im down to 1mg, I cut the 2mg in half, correct me if im wrong. I only take it once daily at night of course for sleep.

So i guess its not so much to deal with. After I read your response, Its giving me some hope and I want to thank you for that my friend. Now that im down to 1mg, how should I taper down from here?

  • TY:)....You are an angel and an inspiration

  • I put my benzo addiction to the back of my mind, seeing as the H and methadone are still racing around my body!

  • This is a masterpiece, Baylissa! Thank you! ....most informative. ...most encouraging. Incredible suggestions. Just beautiful! May it been seen by MILLIONS! All people who are withdrawing from a benzodiazepine can benefit, greatly, from this, your video! Again, thank you! HIGHLY recommend viewing!!!!!

  • thanks :)

  • Camomile and Passion flower/passiflora (plus hops, valerian) - all these herbal teas can cause problems too so be careful. Though it might have helped the previous poster and others, they cause problems for a lot of benzo sufferers so if your nervous system is mega sensitive, don't take it.

  • @iamwonderfulable you are very correct about passionflower... passionflower has the same effect as oxazepam.

I just relapsed onto alprazolam... 0.5 mg taken once per day.

its a nightmare i was down frown 6 mgs a day but this is just too hard. i dont know how to live normally while tapering its been a year.

    fuck

  • Until people start beating their prescribing doctors in public with baseball bats, nothing will be done to prevent further suffering! This video helps, but makes you focus a little too much on benzos. Mindless distractions, such as happy or fantasy films are very good! Avoid intense films. Smoking ups your anxiety too. Too much time researching your benzo problem can also increase stress. Camomille & Passion Flower (herbs used for centuries for insomnia), help me too. Good luck fellow victims!

  • These really do help... But no one on these videos, or even forums for that matter, ever seems to have gotten addicted to benzos on their own... Always by a doctor, involving a prescribed amount, or taper. I find this very hard to believe. Maybe my case is unique?

  • I watch this every morning, it helps

  • Thank you....this is exactly what I was needing.
