..I actually 'vibrated' the steering wheel into the direction we needed to go.. 100kms/hr, now facing the left @ 80 degrees; 85kms/hr back the other way & so-on until the van came to a complete stop.. I stepped out of the van & slipped on my ass! That's how bad it was.. We were the last vehicle through, as they closed the highway after we passed! What carnage! The GT driving game was a DIRECT contributor to my successful response - I'd been driving for 30 years before that & I endorse this!
I will atest to the FACT that GT's (PS2) 'Snow & Ice' levels helped me prepare for my ICE encounter on the Trans-Canada highway between Brandon & Winterpeg a few years ago.. 115kms/hr, SUDDENLY dry pavement became shear ice in, oh, a metre! Next thing, we were sideways to the right 90 degress.. BOTH FEET OFF PEDALS and gripping the steering wheel like it was a life-tether..
