@FreedomFighter1293 I know what you are saying about this piece of music but, when you have children especially when they are very young then the door to Toyland reopens for you. Christmas is a very special time of year for everyone, but it makes it all the more better when you have children of your own or there are children in your family who come to visit on Christmas day. However I have to agree with you on the wonderfulness of this song, it truly is the work of a genius.
Holiday season 2011!! WOW!! I see that YT is still carrying this treasure of the times gone by. This is a beautiful tribute by one of the greatest family entertainers of all time!! I hope it will always be available for us to view. THANK YOU YT!!!
I enjoy seeing this vid. during warm weather months. I've been around since Moby Dick was a minnow; so I remember Perry Como as a young man. I can only hope that Y.T. never eliminates this piece from their massive collection of beautiful music. This is truly a CLASSIC!! THANK YOU Y.T.
I hope this is never taken away that people cannot see the beauty of the video, hear the song, and savor the message as I have done with my family. This is truely a timeless piece of music that should never slip away not to be seen again. I saw jd productions at the top, and it is you tube. THANK YOU whoever makes this available.
I am in my early 50's right now and this brings me back to when I was little and my parents would take us for a drive at Christmas to see all the lights. It was a special time for us as a family as we all helped my dad set up our display of lights outside. It was nothing so fantastic as the ones you show here but it was ours and we all loved it. There was 4 of us kids and we all would fight for the window seats so we got a better look at the Christmas Decorations. Thank you for sharing.
My dad would always show me this song around christmas time and tell me that one day I was going to grow up and never be able to return to toyland, it was kind of bitter sweet (and cheesy) but thats my dad. Now i'm having flash backs:)
if you understand there is a time we will all celebrate a permanent christmas in a world(toyland a metephor )where we will all be like kids again forever happy without any blemish the songs will be a billon times better, christmas is marked here on earth at the end of every year take note at the end of our liife we all go to a toy land heaven never to return to celebrate a permanent christmas,
Thank you so much..for such a wonderful video. When I was a little girl, I remember my grandfather playing this album at Christmas time. Ever since then, it has become my signature Christmas song for me. I play this every year during the holiday season, and even tho, I have passed it's borders...I do return, over and over and over again. Thank you so much and may you and your's have a wonderful and Joyous and Blessed Christmas...thank you ..hugs, carol
@FreedomFighter1293 I agree that it is kind of sad that once you leave you cannot return again. It is that way for a reason because it is never good to have too much of a good thing. The wonders and mystics of Toyland should be something one should only experience once in a life time. The memories are better than never having experienced it. Don't you think?
My mother and father always watched his shows. This song takes me back to when I was boy and so many wonderful Christmas memories. Perry Como was a wonderful person and one great singer.
This video is so beautiful...This is so close to my heart. My oldest son was born Dec 15 I had everything in the house decorated. He received at birth a music box that played this song and I sang it to him every night. The lights are beautiful. I will be watching this in July. Beautiful JD. Thank you for sharing a wonderful video.
Thanks, Diane. I'm so happy when my videos bring back fond memories... that's the reason I make them them. And for those too young to remember, it's my way of showing them what it was like as a child for me. I was a pretty lucky kid to be growing up then.
No one sings this better than Perry Como! Thank you :-)

As long as I have this exact song (as in Perry Como's rendition, not just "Toyland" in general) I can always return.

That's one of the best things about having younger cousins, or nieces and nephews or kids or grandkids, they can sneak you back in from time to time.

In the sixties, just about everyone had their own Christmas show (Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, et al). I really miss the Bob Hope USO shows...

This reminds me of Winterhaven in Tucson. I grew up there as a child, Every house "lite up" during Christmas season.
