I get the misty eyes, the mere thought that he can never ever be replace.....nobody doese it like Pavarotti...nobody....hirk hirk hirk !! hirk hirk hirk !! i cant contain the tears man..i can't !! just can't !! Pavarotti i love you man !!! you shall be missed.....can you hear his voice echoed in Paradise in the kingdom of heaven ?
Ahhhhhhhh the vulnerable man syndrome !!! you got me all choked up with tear,it's okay pal it's okay don't cry,i too love Pavorotti...my Italian girlfriend and i used to listen to Pavorotti together back in high school and now she too is gone....It was Pavorotti that brought her close to me,for a brief moment i knew complete happiness and now all i got left of her are memories of days spent doing homework and listening to the voice of Pavorotti, the voice of heaven and eternal love.....
I am just now finding this video, and I want to say thank you for posting it. Yes, real men do cry for dead heroes. I got to meet Pavarotti around l980 when he did a concert in Houston, Texas, and he kissed me on the cheek; a moment I will always remember. I sing along with him on his recordings. I'm a soprano. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your sharing your love for him and your grief at his passing. I understood!
@lokotasioux Thank you for your comment, I still cry sometimes when I think about his last performance. But he has been here beside me for the last couple years teaching me to sing. I feel his presence with me, though I do not believe in ghosts, I think he helps me often.
The last line stanza always gets me. The last B5 followed by the A5 are incredibly difficult. Only a select few like Pavarotti can pull it off with power and elegance. RIP
@thatgibsonguy0001 Yes he himself believed he only was completely perfect on the aria a couple times I think. It takes complete control of Diaphragm and open throat to perform this with as much power, which makes it even more remarkable that he was able to do with pancreatic cancer killing him.
God bless Pavarotti and you!!!

Good Job. Has anyone told you that you look a little bit like Viggo Mortensen? I mean that in a good way of course :)
