  • I was at that concert and it was even better than it shows!!! I will never forget that night...

  • Thanks for posting this. I am a BIG Gary Puckett fan and Gary P and the Union Gap and Brooklyn Bridge were my two favorite groups in my late teens. They still are! They new what real music was not just banging a guitar and screaming or "talking " music!!

  • 2 GREAT SINGERS

  • Two of the GREATEST 60's music ICONS EVER.

    These guys had the chops.

LEGACY ETERNAL for both Johnny (RIP) & GARY.

Blue Eyed Soul "torch carriers" Extraordinaire.

Thanks to smittyIi for this historic upload and

this will be even more special........ as the years go by.

  • considering their ages, this sounds fantastic. Classic duet from two of the most powerful male vocalists. We miss you Johnny.

  • This is precious video from two outstanding performers. R.I.P. Johnny. Gary, you're still a quality act and a fantastic voice.

  • For the record, isn't this Bill Medley?

  • I understand the lighting is not good but unless I am very mistaken this is Bill medley with Johnny. Remember the Righteous Brothers?

  • @bobofky The Righteous Brothers (Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield) had the original #1 hit recording of this song in 1964, but this is Gary Puckett (The Union Gap) singing with Johnny Maestro. Medley and Puckett are both tall and slender, so from a distance they could slightly resemble each other. Bill Medley's voice might be a bit deeper than Puckett's as well, but Puckett and Maestro did justice to a great song.

  • GARY PUCKETT SINGS WITH JOHNNY MAESTRO & THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE

  • Okay, that was a little loose but it was still incredible and powerful. I wish I could sing like either Puckett or Maestro. Ironically, for a while I sang and played organ in a Brooklyn cover band known as Critics' Choice, and in fall 1978 we opened for Maestro and the Bridge at a concert in Massapequa, Long Island. Ah, the dues you pay on the way up!

  • Gone... Gone... Gone... :-(

  • a stunning performance. how else can you say it?

  • R.I.P Johnny. Thank You

  • Richard Nader productions also had this act at the Detroit Opera Theater. I can still see the goosebumps on my arms.

  • RIP Johnny. He passed yesterday of cancer

  • Love the music, but the camera work needs to improve.

  • Johnny certainly has it . Garry does to however hes gotten lazy, he needs to stand and sing and not throat or talk his songs through. I know he must be bore of the same songs for years, however let him sing a spiritual song and see him come to life, the olds voice is there he just doesnt have what Jeff Foxworthy calls the yont tos

  • Happy 70th Birthday Johnny on May 7, 2009.

  • this is really my grandfather cousin so cool

  • Johnny is still great, ------- BUT Gary, (even though I love him) is past prime.

This video still brings back a lot of great memories!! I was a huge fan of Gary and The Gap!!!!

  • I can just see them debateing who makes the best pizza!!! fun fun

  • Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge AND Jay & The Americans are playing on the same show in Lakewood NJ. Its the fabulous STRAND Theatre on Saturday, Nov 15. I have my tickets.

  • cool--class is still alive !!!!

  • By the way, last night's concert in RI was fabulous. I wish jabb had done "sweetest one" though and "I thnak the moon". there were lots of people older than me there so dont' think we forgot those. "Unchained melody" was so good, I didn't think human beings could do it that well, you know, without studio tricks.

  • could you try and organise a tour "downunder" otherwise we will never get the chance to see Johnny and the Bridge live.

  • check johnny's web site for the next cruise. Fly in, get on the cruise. The dollar is so far in the potty now you could probably do it for loose change.

  • Wow - two of the greatest vocalists ever together on the same stage! I was lucky to hear and meet these guys about 30 years apart. Thanks for posting this!

  • why is johnny maestro not facing the crowd?

  • I believe the show at the Meadowlands Arena was "in the round", so the singers have to move around more to face the entire audience. Johnny was singing to part of the audience that isn't visible in the video, so that's why you see mostly his backside.

  • smitty loking at the lil bit at the top you say you mixed sound for johnny and the bridge i have to assume that means you do it for a living iff thats the case i so envy you that job i wonder what its like working with them i guess it must be a very incredible nd enjoyable time this clip like your other one is just incredible i t so much june

  • I have been with Johnny and The Bridge for 21 years. They are the best to work with. It is like a second family.

  • then that was you last night in Woonsocket mixing the sound? At the beginning it sounded like Johnny's mike was set too low. And I thought I heard drop outs (?), dont know the technical term, but it seemed to get better about the second song. did you make any adjustment? just curious, could very well be my old ears.

  • i just cant get over this how incredible is this you have my undying gratitude for posting these now we need the whole concert bravo

  • Incredible! This is wonderful. I attended a doo wop concert at the Detroit Opera House in Feb. 2007. Johnny & the Bridge were the headliners and Gary Puckett was also on the bill. Johnny & Gary sang this same duet at that show, and sounded just as great.

  • wowee smittyy where in heavens name do ou get these they r awesomee vids u have my undying gratitude for posting these 2 grt singers doin what they do best singin like angels ty ty
