Norway, France, Sweden, Finland, Cuba, Venuezula, China, Spain, and Canada all have government health care and it works fine. another thing... you wing-nuts don't seem to realize that you already have socialized health insurance. what do you think health insurance is? it's sharing risk. you pool your money with other people, so yes you are paying for other's health care, so that when you have an emergency, you don't have to pay for it all out of pocket. only difference is, the ins co has 30% overhead cost & they take a profit on top of that. get it now? Medicare for all. If you don't want it, fine, pay out of pocket.

3rd, part-time workers aren't offered benefits. 4th, on the 2yrs vs 5yrs issue: the article said they had ins for 5yrs after the accident until LTV went under & that it's been 7 yrs since she's seen a doc. maybe it's been 7yrs since LTV went under? don't know but, you're arguing symmantics. point is, when LTV went under, the banks got their money but the retirees/employees got fucked.

I also spoke with Mr. Skvara's son and he informed me that subs only get paid $60/day in the county where they live. And, they don't work that often. Also, his folks don't get anywhere near the $40K/yr you say they do. But, you might know that if you hadn't blocked him from commenting. Btw, I'll tell you why you should CONTINUE to pay for other's health care: It's called building a stable & secure society.
