  • lik dis if u cry evertim

  • Shawn marion jump shot

  • as you see, even a retarded white kid can still beat niggers at their own game!

  • not insipirational because i have autism and i havent done anything like that no matter how hard i try

  • @TheKanonHara You don't know what "inspirational" means, do you.

  • @xXeeDeeXx

yes i do but this isn't inspirational at all.

  • more like unlikely dumbass

  • He's not that disabled, they exaggerate his disability to sell the story

  • ive watched it a thousand times....everytime im down it picks me up.....! Thanks J MAC now i need another kleenex

  • Check out "girl with mad basketball skills

  • just 2 words ya buddy

  • its not autistic people. it is people with autism. they are not defined by their autism

  • i cried.

  • The New Jersey Nets should draft him

  • Comment removed

  • makes me cry

  • Kids a Dickens ruhtard

  • Its really awesome clip

  • That's awsome

  • imagine being the kid who had to cover him.

i doubt he was motivated to actually block the j mac.

  • i bet any other country wouldn't do this.

  • @samaasuper what makes you say that

  • Im autistic but it really doesnt affect me at all except for making me shake sometimes and be really anxious...however i have exceeded the doctors expectations by learning to talk,do really well in school and making varsity lacrosse as the starting goalie

  • I grew up with autism I'm 6"3 freshman played basketball as a post forever. The doctors thought I was never going to talk nor have friends because I was severe but I proved them wrong.

  • Maybe he probably had the perfect mechanics for doing a 3-point shot. I grew up with autism too, so my guess is that he had the ability to visualize the basket 25-30 feet away from him, and then use that to align himself in less than 2-3 seconds for the perfect long jump shot and the history-making "treys". Usually, you only get this through practicing 3-point shots thousands of times in shoot-arounds.

  • Quit complaining people

  • he got pussy that night

  • Well I am pretty sure I have some bad brain damage and nobody ever gave a shit when I make a 3 pointer...

  • LMAO, "he misses badly"

  • I'm from Rochester, NY and remember this pretty well and feeling excited for that kid. I sort of laugh when I see everyone be so surprised "omg he could actually shoot a BASKET at all!?" uh, yeah. My autistic sister has amazing eye/hand coordination and KILLS me at the Wii and anything to do with shooting. It's not like autistic people don't have any skills whatsoever. :P

  • lmao he missed badly

  • gay

  • can someone please explain to me what autism is? im just not so sure i get it

  • @bsavage04 Autism is to put simply, because I'm not a medical expert. A condition labeled as a "mental disability" which makes social interaction awkward or minimal for the person diagnosed. Though there is sometimes higher brain function in other parts of the brain in people diagnosed. A common thing I see is people who cannot make eye contact. Autism varies in many degrees and behavioral patterns. I'm no expert though.

  • sweet ♥

  • goosebumps

  • This is bullshit. I have the same disorder as him, and i get treated like crap evreyday . What the fuck is so special about him?

  • @Cheaporeviewer What's so special about him other than the fact that he made six 3-pointers in a row? That's an incredible feat period, it's just more amazing that a kid with autism.

  • What a beast.

  • dont make fun of him geez?! hes autistic hes supposed to talk like that and shut up my sister is autistic

  • @knowpeacenowar1 Same here she is only 5.

  • haha nice seeing my face in the video. it was my idea to print his picture out and put it on a stick to cheer him up. almost got grounded for printing too many color pictures in the library. lol

  • hes autistic...what a lick

  • This is just amazing! :D

  • hi k12

  • hi!

  • damn, they shoulda played him the enitre season

  • @VikingsRuler words right out of my mouth

  • hotter than a pistol...

  • I was smiling the entire time

  • hotter than a pistol haha I love this

  • 146 people can't play basketball

  • High functioning autism is not medically recognized. Jason may have Asperger's which isn't autism

It would thrill a parent if their autistic child had asperger's instead. Most autistic kids need lifelong care. Aspies are usually independent

Science "doesn't know" autism's cause. 2008 CBS News the late Dr Bernadine Healy said "Vaccines may cause autism" "It's inexcusable that the proper studies haven't been done"

Why do the FDA & drug industry avoid the truth?

Go to "AGEOFAUTISM" to find out

  • @michael0156 I think the proper response to that is "who cares?"

  • Comment removed

  • I feel like although Autistic people lack social skills, they have talents and skills others don't.

I have Aspergers. I can sketch well, i remember tedious little details, yet suck at math.

  • I wonder how many Jordan could've scored against that team?

  • sadly the 200 people watching the game create a better atmosphere then 15000 at a nets game

  • If you weren't moved by this, then you're a heartless human being.

  • @iProJakee eat a dick cunt

  • watch the one that ESPN did of this, much more inspirational

  • Thumbs up if you just say this on Russel Howards show

  • @batmanh20 I did :) glad i watched it now so i heard about this great story, very uplifting

  • Comment removed

  • This story has touched my heart and soul. Saying congrats just isn't enough because Jason is now a symbol to other children that have autism or learning disabilities that they too can achieve each in their own way.

  • nice :D

  • That's amazing

  • This made me tear up with joy. My son has high-functioning autism. He is only six, but he is brilliant. I know it may not seem like this boy has a disability, but for those that dispute it, they most know nothing about it. I have such high hopes and aspirations for my son. I know that he can make all of his dreams come true, just like Jason McElwain is doing.

Please do not put down a person that has a disability. You know nothing about what it is like for them or what they are going thru

  • Kudos to you J Mac! I'm autistic myself truth be told. It proves that if autistic teenagers are passionate about something, they excel in it. Maybe the (146) people who dislike this video are either intolerant or just jealous that they aren't blessed with this amazing gift!

  • It too bad that all he is getting is 15 minute of fame.

  • Jonniddr I am sorry you were such a loser in high school that you have to get on YouTube and put down this amazing story. If there was an agreement screw it, this is probably the highlight of j-Macs life so far. May god have pity on you for putting down this disabled young man.

  • @sigtaumichael79 may god have pity on you for having pity on this young man whose disability has been exaggerated by both the media and his coach. If I were the coach he would have gotten more playing time.

  • To those that disliked....I didn't see a story about a kid that had a disability or someone I should feel sorry for. I saw a high school kid that was given a chance to prove himself and make a memory he can be proud of. Don't try so hard to make a negative out of such a great story!

  • Who cut the onions? Please stop

  • That's really great and inspiring, and I am just asking why would you want to dislike this.

  • He is so inspritional;)

  • Inspiring. Great job. Looked like he was having the time of his life.

  • i go to this highschool and i was actually at this game it was amazing ill never forget that game!:)

  • i really hope he got laid

  • @NathanNateDawg um, do u not remember this? i guess not. that makes u gay

  • Relax people the kid is not that disabled and the coaches told all of the players to just let him shoot and give him time.

  • @JonniDDR To be completely accurate autism is a disability (developmental disability), so by definition, he does have a disability.

  • My 14 year old autistic daughter and I are not fans of this viral video. People with high-functioning autism are not retarded or handicapped and find this sort of story patronizing and dismissive of their capabilities. Yes, Jason is to be celebrated, but why did the coach take two years to open his eyes and put Jason in play? This perpetuates gross misconceptions about ASD and does far more harm than good.

  • @rainday6 I absolutely love this video but had a similar thought when I first watched it - just imagine what this team have been missing out on for so long by not playing him. This video does nothing for equality, real equality is a person being judged by THE SAME standards as everyone else. If he shoots like this in practice then he should have been started!

I love this video because six 3pointers in 4m without missing is a sporting feat by ANYONE's standards.

  • @HiMrJ right you are! I worried about my daughter til, when she was 9, I took her to the rock climbing wall at Dick's Sports store. She climbed all 75 feet and toward the end, everybody in the store gathered on both levels to cheer her on. When she smacked that red button for the buzzer at the top they applauded like crazy. She came down weak as a kitten, sweating buckets but with a grin that still brings tears to my eyes when I recall it. And not one damn person there knew she has Asperger's!

  • never give up on life. Cause life is still with you :)

God gives everyone a talent and love <3

  • although he's autistic

at least he knows his hidden and most amazing talent

  • This would make a great Movie!!!!

  • I was very moved by this fantastic story!

  • this is: Beautiful <3

  • I've never done this before and normally hate people who go on about the dislikes, but seriously what kind of sick cynical person could dislike a story like this?

  • My 14 year old autistic daughter, for one. People with high-functioning autism are not retarded or handicapped and find this sort of story patronizing and dismissive of their capabilities.

  • @Possumtrapper25 Possibly those who are prejudiced against those with disabilities. Maybe, maybe not. Ableism (discrimination against those with physical disabilities) and mentalism (discrimination against those with intelect, which can range from being smarter, not as smart, or to having mental disabilities) are far too common.

  • Amazing! Good for Jason!! :)

  • I hate this I hate this I hate this. All the people fawning over this and saying "aww, well isn't that special" don't fucking understand High Functioning Autism.

  • @Arguman

I think most of the people understand high functioning Autism. It is the fact that "normal people" accept this kid as a peer, not someone to be ridiculed because they are different that is the cause of most of the amazement.

  • I absolutely love this story. Congratulations dude!

  • BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!

  • i want my kids to go to school there

  • what kind of desiese he have?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, this just makes me smile.

    (:

  • ExpensiveGun,

You DO know the difference between Autism and mental retardation, don't you?

THAT boy is autistic, YOU, on the other hand, are retarded.

  • Autistic my ass.

  • I want to...CRY ;) (snif)

  • HOT AS A PISTOL !!!

  • Amazing! Some of you need a lot of prayer though! Just sayin... Even my brother (captain of his high school basketball team) hasnt had many games where he made 6 three pointers.... regardless if he was up against a strong defense or not... It's not easily done!

  • 6ft my ass

  • hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha ur GAY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :]

  • This katt was WANGIN shots boy....lol damn.

  • What a Cool kid

  • Awesome to hear this!! These are the kinds of stories that the news SHOULD be reporting!! Way to go Jason! Happy for you man!!

  • Well, there's a guy hitting 6 threes in a row - not having played a single minute in his 4 highschool years... Somebody should get the coach fired :-D

  • Who are these (142 ) people that dislike this clip and what's their problem ?

  • @Chilli0912 - they are all idiot and don't know how to play basketball...

  • @Chilli0912 Those 142 people that Dislike this are the Haters that Didn't Get the Attention Jason Got. I am Very happy for what Jason Accomplished.

  • @Chilli0912 Autistic basketballers who are still on the bench?

  • Faith in humanity status: restored

  • @thesoulgirlKC lol, your a fucking retard then

  • Six 3 pointers and a buzzer beater, are you shitting me?? Hey Lebron, how about you ask Jason for some pointers.

  • this kid is amazing, autistic or not

  • You are very special :-) glad you got to shine in front of everyone!!

  • Great story!

  • Makes me cry! So wonderful!

  • lol a sheer , utter , pure, bare ... LEGEND!!!!

  • iight guys seriously. Let’s grow up (all of us, including yours truly) and stop the insult battles.

the kid's autistic. how much so does not matter. yeah they may have exaggerated it a bit to sell the story, but that’s the damn media for you.

but on the other hand, dont call anyone a douche. Thats low and two wrongs dont make a right. you can have whatever opinion you want but if you want to say something rude about anyone, yell it into your goddamn pillow for gods sake.

    just quit the hating.

  • Been trying to google any professional athletes that did what Jason has done in a game. Nothing related came up except Jason's story. This is more amazing than that I could have ever imagined! The story is awesome enough, having no results with as far as professional b ballers to what Jason has done in that 4 minutes is more impressive. WOW!

  • who cares about the autism? that kid is white!!!

  • Yo seriously 6 in a row? autistic or not thats pretty damn impressive for someone who didnt play a game that season..hot as a pistol...HOT..AS..A...PISTOL..damn im using that from now on !!

  • @elemental12345678900 I have done research, no professional athlete has ever done what Jason has done.

  • Clearly a werewolf

  • @19Casablancas88 I don't get your comment. Is that sarcasm I hear in you comment?

  • He Did Riley in.

  • Who the heck down voted this?

  • @albrco0 Morons down voted this!

  • This story is a proof that you can't judge a book by its cover! Also, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can tell the mountain to move & it will move for you. In this case the mountain is autism.

  • @JonniDDR Google search a professional basket ball player that has done what Jason has done in under 4 minutes. You would not find one! Please get your head out of your ass. Thanks!

  • So, where is he now?

  • @nutcase0001 Last I heard he was couching in some college.

  • amazing.

  • @josuevalle111 There is no superlatives you can use to describe such feat! Just proves G-d do exist & still answers prayers to this day.

  • good for him....really....good for him

  • JORDAN DID IT IN 92. OLD NEWS.

  • @oldstyleliberal In under 4 minutes? Was Jordan 17 when this happened? Let see, does Jordan have autism? Isn't Jordan a professional? Don't call yourself a liberal if you can't accept this. Liberals are progressive not regressive.

  • @jonniDDR you are a jealous cunt. Fuck off, I bet this kid could shoot better than you. Go hate somewhere else, not on a kid with disabilities you heartless twat.

  • I'm happy the kid shot a few baskets but why doesn't anyone ask that douche of a coach why he only let the J-Mac kid play one time. They exaggerated his disability to sell the story.

  • @JonniDDR Goodness, what the *+#= is your mental malfunction? You need to get your head examined for speculating such utter none sense! C'mon dude lets be real here. What this kid did was amazing. I am sure they never intended for this to be a world wide sensation. You see the kid missed the first 2 shots. Try to remove your head out of your rear end on your own.

  • This is wonderful!

  • Jimmer is impressed.

  • 140 people wish they were badass like Jason McElwain

  • @AlexPanacro I wish too. Lol... But I am too short to play b ball professionally let alone in the minor leagues! Roflmao... That is why I settled for Mixed Martial arts. It is easier. All I need is technique.

  • Not one. Not two. Not three. Not four. Not five...

  • Are there actually fucking idiots saying this isn't even that incredible? He had never played in a game NEVER and to come in and miss your first shot as bad as he did and miss the second then to score 6 3 point shots in a row or whatever? To do so and not be autistic is incredible but to do so while being autistic? Simply amazing

  • @gakman41 Well said!

  • @candie8301972 thanks!:)

  • @gakman41 And for what purpose do I deserve such thanks? You said it! This might be the wrong analogy but as they often say, you hit the nail in the coffin. Lol...You said it best!

  • I have autism.

  • thats soo sick

  • How can you possibly "dislike" this?

  • This jonniDDR is a dumb piece of shit haha

  • Comment removed

  • At school (highschool, primary) it's alway people who are better in sports that gets the "love"....but once you're an adult you'll realise that people with the most kindness and best personality gets the love.

  • Amazing.

  • 138 people has no disability whatsoever but they can't shoot a 3 pointer.

  • @RaselStymest No one can do what Jason did. I have searched and searched. No result.
