I play this song often...love the tribal feeling it has to it...at the end I can't help myself I gotta grab my tamborine and shake along with the music (boom shaka laka laka boom shaka laka laka) my favorite song on the album....love you Stevie hope we get to hear more from you.
Beautiful song. Story based on the novel of the same title "Wide Sargasso Sea" by Jean Rhys. This book is a prequel to Charlotte Brontë's famous 1847 novel Jane Eyre and paints a spellbinding story of love betrayed. It is a heartbreaking explaination on how a beautiful young girl became the lunatic hidden in the attic and why she burned Rochester's Thornfield Manor.
Definitely my most favorite song from the new CD. It’s so weird…just like her first song Rhiannon – it sounded different for that time. I haven't like a song of hers this much in a very long time....probably since Rooms on Fire or Trouble in Shangri la
Incredible collaboration on this record. Stevie and Dave are genius united. This is Stevie's best work since Fleetwood Mac in the 70s.

She has written this song about a few different men. Excellent though. Keep rockin'.

Would Stevie have seen the BBC adaption of Wide Sargasso Sea? Rafe Spall portrayed young Mr. Rochester.

I saw the current movie of Jane Eyre today and I can see why poor Bertha burned Mr. Rochester's house down!
