if you search the songs for just about any of the bands that were on the twilight soundtrack, theres always someone thats saying how twilight has ruined that particular band. I think that twilight has really screwed up some amazing songs and has created people who think they're [insert band's name here] number one fan because they know this ONE song. yeah, twilight can be cool but it ruined many songs. I guess its just a whole bunch of fans fighting on whether twilight was a good/bad thing...

listen. I am fully supportive of indie artists, but both Grizzly Bear and Beach house have put in their time as "Indie" artists. Yellow house was recorded in Ed's Mothers house for christ sakes! I say good for them. Hell as far as I am concerned, them having a song in Twilight is the only reason I would watch that filth!

@SgtSammyJPeppers Not true at all. I am a fan of the Twilight series and I've found a lot of great bands through their various soundtracks. I've never been like, "oh my god, this was in Twilight so it must be cool." That's kind of a generalization, don't you think? I for one was pleasantly surprised by the soundtracks, and if they'd had sucky pop music I never would have liked it just because it was from the movie.

I only know all this songs from New Moon, I knew they would pick "different" music, in the good way, and I absolutely like the most of the songs. Don't hate me, because I like Twilight, for me it's a good way to get to know new songs I like.

Well, I loved the entire Twilight soundtrack, and I know tons of people who did. I know I will love every single song on the New Moon soundtrack. I think any indie music lover would say the same. It's going to be flippin' amazing!

i personally don't think that the new moon soundtrack is gonna do anything much to influence the listeners. Iron and Wine(Mr. Samuel Beam) for example, my friend is a twilight lover and she loved that song(she said it was the best song in the soundtrack album) , but her fascination just stops there( no searching for albums or songs). i seldom see any posts by twilight lovers on his live vids.

so, maybe for us independent music listeners it's a big deal, but it probably wont do much for them.

gave you a thumbs-up, but i've just learned to embrace it. i actually read the books (they are horrendously written, but enjoyable in a guilty pre-pubescent flashback way) and imagined to myself how well bon iver would fit with the storyline to new moon...lo and behold he's on the soundtrack!

re: this song, i saw grizzly bear last night and this song stood out as unusually cheesy, but still enjoyable. you have to ask yourself why these indie artists are contributing, anyways.

@janellio hey, nobody is pressing them to be on the Twilight soundtrack. Both are indie bands, they do whatever they want. so I guess it was their choice... and a good promotion. But I agree Twilight's aesthetic doesn't match with both GB & BH's musical landscape.
