  • simply fantastic. thank you for posting.

  • Flavia Cacace please !

  • yummy, but I don't like her dress for this part, not enough sexy

  • BEAUTIFUL ! absolutely flawless !

  • goose bumps goose bumps gooooooooooose buuuuuuuuuuuuuuumps!!!!!!!!!!

  • Esta pareja es simplemente espectacular!

  • Esta pareja es simplemente espectacular!

  • Don't even think that Vincent And Flavia are good. They are simply superb. I too am from Buenos Aires - now living in Mayfair, London. I can assure you that these two dancers are in a class of their own. I own the Pacha club (Avenida Costanera Rafael Obligado) and we have held Argentine Tango competitions for the last 15 years. Vincent and Flavia are miles better than anyone we have had at our club. Just sit back and enjoy two extraordinary professionals performing at the highest level.

  • Two times world champions??? when this happened..the world champions take place in Buenos aires every August and these guys never won..not even close, they are latin dancers and obviously have no idea about argentinean tango, I cannot believe that BBC called these guys to perform when there are so many amasing tango dancers out there..such a shame

  • They're good. I will say that the 1st minute of the performance is the weakest in my opinion. It stalls a bit.

  • I dont give a fuck if they are not champions.. they are just AMAZING . Im argentinian and im very pround of them but you Argentinian tango dancers are so fucking jealouse of this couple .. enjoy the good quality and SHUT UP .. a quien le importa si son campeones .. hijos de puta!! envidiosos cierren la jeta y disfruten de la buena calidad!!

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Vincent and Flavia... they're just amazing performers

  • Do not write offensive things, these two boys were born in Italy and Vincent Simone comes from a family of professional dancers and their parents are Latin and ballroom dancers. His sister is a dance teacher. The couple dances really well this should not detract! while recognizing at least for me, the best tango dancing of all kinds in Argentina, just enough to get Florida or Caminito street to realize!

  • Extraordinary! must recognize and accept that no one dances like the Argentine tango! I am not of that country, but to Caesar what is Caesar's!

  • what's the name of the background music?

  • Omg .... now this is why I teach & practise Argentine Tango ...... to be a third so good, for a single dance day in my lifetime!!!!!!...... The difficulty to the uneducated, is as complex as one dance gets!!,

  • Absolutely breathtaking!

  • WHATTT!!!!!x Wow.

  • SO BORING to some tangos on u tube

  • These guys are not even one time Argentine Tango world champions.

Check the dates they are saying they were the champions ans you'll find other couples. Actually excellent dancers. This is totally false. Their "tango" as well!

  • @claudioasolorzanoHI THERE and if you look up mundial de tango by cvllemac the foot work of this couple is superior

  • @DeadIslandSurvivor sorry mate but just because Tango comes from Argentina doesnt automatically mean that the best tango dancers do too, that just shows your ignorance tbh. In England we invented Football, Rugby, Cricket etc and it doesnt mean that we are the best at it which we are not.... and Yes I have seen Tango in 'Barrios' like la Boca

  • its so funny, flavia means "golden hair" in latin XD

  • erm, no it doesn't, Capili does though

  • or even aurea coma ;-)

  • THEY HAVE BLOWN ME AWAY baby absolutely breath-taking salud!

  • The Argentine Tango is the name of the dance style. Its a variation of the Tango in the Argentinian style. It doesnt mean you have to be from Argentina to dance it. and it doesnt mean the world championship has to be in Argentina.

Vincent and Flavia are exquisite dancers. Professionals and Champions. I'd like to see all you people who said awful things do better....

  • why do people comment when they clearly don't understand the concept of what they're watching? Vincent and Flavia ARE two times World Tango SHOW DANCE Champions. The competition has nothing to do with Argentina.

  • @pabloj08 this is a video of the people who won the World Argentine Tango SHOW DANCE competition twice. How difficult is that to understand? This competition has nothing to do with Argentina other than the NAME of the dance.

TheDelphineus has said exactly the same thing as me and neither of us resorted to insults or swearing unlike you. You think because you write in Spanish I can't understand it or translate it? The title of the video is irrelevant.

  • 100% Fake! They are not champions!!!, I think in addition that they never been in Argentina. please if you have any doubt check for the champions in the all categories, and you won't find them.

  • @cggarciasol

I do not understand this or many of the other comments. What does whether or not you have ever been to Argentina have to do with anything?!? Do you have to be from Vienna to do a Viennese Waltz. I think these comment are pranks on the readers as I refuse to believe that people are really this stupid!!

  • @YMcB1947 I think it's just people who don't understand the appropriation of their cultural artifacts by outsiders who then redefine it on their own terms. I get where you are coming from, but I never understood why, for instance, it's called an Argentine tango if the people from Argentina don't recognize it as such. Why not call it something else while acknowledging that it's also based on the Argentine tango? I don't expect you to have an answer. I'm just wondering aloud.

  • @HumbleHarry How is this different than Latin Jazz or French or African Rap or anything else that has migrated beyond its original borders & become something else in the process. American Buddhism has a distinctly different flavor, etc. Why is the electric guitar called a guitar if it is made of different materials, looks different, sounds different, is played differently, etc.??? I am to tired to think of others. Some children leave home & do not take up the family business.

  • @YMcB1947 Well, that's just it. Latin jazz is distinguished from the indigenous variety by the fact that it's called "Latin" jazz. Argentinian posters here seem to be objecting to this form of the tango being called an "Argentine" tango. We all know the tango originated in Argentina, but maybe this style should be called International ballroom style tango to avoid confusion with the indigenous style of the dance.

  • @HumbleHarry I study Argentine Tango in NYC USA, think Ballroom Tango is an ugly, stiff, spastic creation and do not find it makes sense to call what I am trying to do, an improvised and fluid dance, the same as a dance which is neither and looks nothing like it. I, also, have studied classical guitar, and have made peace with the reality that many things are called guitar. Call what I am studying Ballroom Tango?!? I do not understand how anyone who has seen the two can say that!!

  • @YMcB1947 You mean, the dance performed in this clip isn't ballroom tango with all the tricks and lifts but is, in actuality, something spontaneous and fluid? OK. I guess I have to join you in wondering why some of the Argentinan posters here don't seem to recognize it as such. Admittedly, I'm no expert, but if you are, perhaps they ought to defer to you.

  • @HumbleHarry THIS IS NOT BALLROOM TANGO. You are confusing 3 separate forms of Tango:

The highly stylized Ballroom Tango, both American Style and International Style,

The choreographed Argentine Tango done as Show/Performance.

The improvised Argentine Tango done as Social Dance.

In addition, the posture of International Style is the opposite of Argentine Tango in that it is close at the hip and arching away at head and shoulders which are stiffly held and abruptly shifted.

  • @YMcB1947 Sorry. I used the wrong terminology to describe this style of tango displayed here, but the point is, apparently, it's not the social dance that Argentinians recognize as a longstanding part of their culture, and it offends some of them to have "Argentine" appended to it. That's all I was trying to say. Anyway, there's not much any of us can do about other people's outrage, is there?

  • @HumbleHarry The word limit makes a clear reply impossible given the complexity - so one last reply to your prior comment:: the issue is not "all the tricks and lifts" as Tangueros in Argentina, as far as I understand, know and do all the fancy steps. The fancy steps themselves are not the issue but, if I understand correctly, the perception of their role and the attitude and that they seem to replace "connection" for many outside Argentina who are seen to dance without soul.

  • Two time what??

They've nerver won enything in Argentina!

They stole the title of champions. Te true champios are: 2005 German Cornejo & Maria de los Angeles Trabichet

    Sebastian Achaval y Ximena Gallicchio

    2006

Carlos Paredes & Diana Giraldo Rivera

    Fabian Peralta y Natacha Poberaj

They are impostors! They are fakes!

  • @porteybailarin They won the show dance section (for tango) of the world argentine tango competition held by the IDO.

  • @porteybailarin I agree 100%. Who are these clowns?!!!!

  • Maybe they are not even from Argentina lol.

Mentirosos!!!

  • Ok, the orquesta behind is very very good :)

But as said below, there must be a huge mistake. The girl's turns and boleos indicates that she is far from being a tango champion ;-)

By the way, I don't like the concept of championship in Argentine Tango even if I understand it can help the country with tourism and help professional dancers with their paycheck

  • This are two thieves, liers, they are not champions of anything!!! Why do they lie so much? And they are not even good!!! disrepectfull, unprofesional!

  • ESTA PAREJA NO ES CAMPEONA MUNDIAL DE TANGO EN NINGÚN MOMENTO... ES UNA ESTAFA... SE AUTOPROCLAMARON ASÍ... QUE MUESTREN DONDE GANARON ESE PREMIO PORQUE EN EL CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE TANGO ARGENTINO NO FUE... 2005 German Cornejo & Maria de los Angeles Trabichet (Categoria Tango Escenario) y Sebastian Achaval y Ximena Gallicchio (Categoria Tango Salón)

2006: Carlos Paredes & Diana Giraldo Rivera (Categoria Tango Escenario) y

Fabian Peralta y Natacha Poberaj (Categoria Tango Salón)

  • They're already world champions you smug dope. I doubt they'd get knocked out of the first round. If you want something a little simpler then check out their Tango waltz.

  • @obscurelines NO SON CAMPEONES!!!

  • finally some real fierce professional tango

  • the legs are so stiff and i'm 101% that they are Latin dancers who wants to learn Tango.. but it's entertaining the dance is more of performances but not technically correct for Tango. they forget to soften their knees when they walked, it's like there doing a Rumba walk in a Tango music, i think that's all that i can say about this dance piece...

  • he's in love with her but we don't know it

  • Where is the passion? The seduction? Tango is all about them. Being passionate yet elegant as you seduce your partner.

    Where are they?

  • Amazing performance! Just stunning and beautiful :)

  • that was amazing!:)

  • omg i love them!

  • That is not a tango....dance...!

  • @marcialcarpio It is!!! Its tango argentino :)

  • I agree. they have great technique, but is was like watching american latin danced to Argenrine tango music .

  • @sfarouni That's because it's a style of argentine tango called "fantasia" which is basically show dancing. the whole of point of fantasia is to show off and entertain the crowd. I don't like it myself, but it gets people's attention, I suppose, and gets them into argentine tango.

  • Beautiful dance! Love watching ppl dance it! IT's awesome!

  • first class entertainment.

  • to all those who think this dance is rubish or whatever else .. your mistaken ..as you havent read the tittle properly they are Tango SHOW Dancers as the name implies! so stop critisicing such a wonderful piece of art.

  • 1:50 min

  • to those who say it's not real tango, I say, why not? what makes it less than any other form of tango, salon, or social? obviously, this style has no place on the social dance floor, but are the dancers not connected and aware of each other, and is their embrace not genuine? because that's the heart of tango, it's in the way two people relate to each other as dancers. these two have it.

  • If their legs get so tangled up like that while they're still standing, immagine what their bed looks like o_0

Bravo ! Babou .

  • Whats this song called and how do i find more slow sectionsd like at 1.52 ?

  • @n2i2c2k2y a los amigos by "orquestra forever tango"

  • @sekseka83 Thanks, have already done my piece but like the music !!!!

  • this is dance show, not tango

  • That was awesome!!!! I absolutely love Argentine Tango!

  • Agree with kethrai, this is more ballroom than real Tango. One of the reasons real tangueros refuse to organize "championships" is that brings in the flashy choreographed movements for the public to win prizes as opposed to real dance in a couple.

  • Thanks for the comments which talk technically about the tango - I can dance a little argentine and a little ballroom tango and its easily my favourite dance. I'm looking ofrward to learning more about it. These two are wonderful to watch, but I like the couple in the Polo advert too - I like the edge their tango has.

  • Bravooooooooo.......

  • gorgeous, GORGEOUS and simply sexual! love this!

  • This faux tango will destroy genuine Argentinean tango as it did in the early-mid 20th Century, which then had to be re-imported from Argentina. The Ball-Room Masters are desperate to categorise steps through static choreographies, killing off improvisation, all in the name of making a fast buck.

  • @keithrai Yes and no, I think that stage tango serves as a way of advertising tango to new audiences, but it is real argentine tango, the social milonga kind, that people truly fall in love with, if people can discover that through Strictly's tango dances, then it never leaves their soul.

However I hate tango teachers across Britain that teach beginners using steps. Men forget to lead and then pause and wait for me to do a certain move tho they haven't lead it. This is the real crime.

  • Mostly Argentine except for the lifts. But nice choreography.

  • NICE!

  • not very authentic to argentine tango movements...

  • There are about 9 different styles of argentine tango:salon, milonguero, club, orillero, canyengue, nuevo and fantasia. What they do seems more like fantasia with a mixed of salon and orilleo movements but its all show tango what they are doing.

  • what a load of crap - they always do same moves most of which does not consist of argentine tango especially the way they are dancing who they trying to fool.

  • @mylofox2020 well put :)

  • Holy WOW!

  • Mesmerising!

  • very sharp, quick and incredibly smooth

and passionet yet filled with romance . . . .XD

  • this is my favorite dance of theirs i love this song

  • The best bit is where Vincent does a little heel click as he leaves the stage! Ha ha.

  • Good dancers. God awful camerawork zooming in and out and flicking from faces to feet enough to make you nauseous!

  • The best part is......!that is not that difficult! ji jiji !! just get the technique and......!do it!! I am ready. What about you?

  • The song is "A Los Amigos" from the Forever Tango soundtrack. They used the same song on SYTYCD for Chelsie and Joshua's tango choreographed by Dmitry Chaplin in season 4. There are some big similarities choreography-wise, too. Its like how there were similarities between Lacey and Danny's season 3 samba (by Dmitry) and a showdance by Yulia Zagoruychenko and Maxim Kozhevnikov. Maybe it's an homage... not like, just stealing. It doesn't matter. It's all just good dancing.

  • @hmmm00iono thanking you for letting us all know what music it was they were dancing to, thanking you

  • Perfect!

  • mmmmmmmmm

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the musical piece they are dancing to?

  • One word: WOW!

  • wonderful!

  • truly stunning

  • amazing dance best by far

  • thanks for uploading!!!
