You don't have to use coloured ones for all you in Australia go to overflow there will be sparklers that say explosive 1.3 I made a rocket out of them it exploded and shot across the yard setting the yard on fire we had put it out easy

dont use a sparkeler for the wick..... use a water dinamite or some wax coated green wick.... and rap it with many many MANY TIGHT VERY TIGHT layers of duct tape and electrical tape.....

you didnt wrap it good enough and you kneed to cover the top and bottom and wrpa it very tightly

first off its got to be some kind of metal and you need a small enough hole just for the sparkeler to fit in. then it will explode cause there is too much pressure.
