Calming your mind won't help you find true happiness...Ask yourself if you're truely happy right now...I don't think so. We have too many problems to worry---what to eat, wear, family, financial, health and so on. We can't feed ourselfve just food, but God's words. If you don't believe me, try to open the bible and read for a few months and you're on the victory over these problems....you're find true happiness that never die
How could say happiness can not be found in God. god is love, god is creator of all things around us, sun, water, earth and air that you're breathing everyday. All things that we see around us must have creator, they just can't pop around by it self orginally...true or not.
Sayadej, you are partially right... or should I accurately say that happiness is one self feeling or emotion but what we feel is affected by external factors. Have you ever see anyone being happy alone? If so, then it was not long-lasting; if he/she was then they have become delirious. Finally, happiness with the worldy or material things are temporary. So in reality there is no absolute happiness except if you have faith in what is absolute...THINK ABOUT IT. WHAT IS ABSOLUTE? GOD?

Happiness can be found within yourself, not from the God. You can train your mind to be stable, calm then you can find the happiness.
