BR1 was directed by Fukasaku Kinji who is among many also responsible for "black Lizard" and "Virus".

During filming of BR2 he died (of old age!) and his son took over.

That's why BR1 rules and BR2 sucks; his son does not have the cinematic vision that his father had...

It hasn't come out yet, he's still doing it. On the Japanese Wikipedia it's listed under movies set to come out in 2008, but for now the English wiki doesn't have any info on it. From what I've read, it is kind of S&M...

Lol, I know! I wish Asano and Miike would work together again~ Unfortunately, I don't think he'll be in Bishonen.

There's a serious lack of news on this movie, and this year Miike has been working on a stageplay so I was wondering if it had been dropped T_T

I found a Chinese blog with a little info on the movie. On the Japanese wikipedia, the movie's release schedule is still set for 2008. I'm running out of space; in the next comment I'll list the named actors/actresses. I'll reply to myself
