I have pet rats and they are incredibly similar to squirrels, but I've been told that the rats need a bath every once in a while. Tried once and will not do that again! LOL! But what I do instead is this. I bought a plastic painters tray with the incline for like $1.00 and partially filled it with warm water. The incline lets them gradually get in the water. Then I throw some peas in. The ratties LOVE to fish for peas and also get used to the water this way. :)

You guys are fucking idiots, this isn't torture. Every animal knows how to instinctively swim and being removed from its natural habitat this is a great way for it to get some much needed exercise. Not only that, but the guy was responsible enough to take it out the tub before it exerted itself. Animals aren't as delicate as you make them out to be. Hi, I'm wildlife expert John Williams. I'm not actually a wildlife expert, but I live by a lake and I have witnessed on several occasions squirrels falling (jumping?) out of trees into the water and swimming short distances. So this happens in the wild. So shut up.
man i had a baby squirrel named chip he was about 4 weeks old i believe he never opened his eyes, and eventually quit eating but hes in a better place now!!, i learned alot from saving that little guy!:)

You guys are fucking idiots, this isn't torture. Every animal knows how to instinctively swim and being removed from its natural habitat this is a great way for it to get some much needed exercise. Not only that, but the guy was responsible enough to take it out the tub before it exerted itself. Animals aren't as delicate as you make them out to be. And no this is not torture, I've volunteered at the humane society for months and this would not count as animal abuse. now enjoy the cuteness

That is unfair to put a squirrel into a tub where he has no ability to get traction. Animals in the wild have the ability to find natural resources that enable them to learn. This squirrel would have been better off in an animal rehabilitation center that could have taken care of him as a wild animal and let him stay a wild animal and not a victim of youtube garbage

man i had a baby squirrel named chip he was about 4 weeks old i believe he never opened his eyes, and eventually quit eating but hes in a better place now!!, i learned alot from saving that little guy!:)
