  • @polpolpolopl I love the intro, makes me smile every time. It`s actually the only intro I listen to. What`s fun about youtube is that you can skip what you don`t like and chose what you want to listen to. ;) ;) ;)

  • Thank you for uploading this video. Happy New Year Koren!

  • I will give this a try because this is a technique I have not yet mastered..thanks for the clear explanation koren!

  • I find that hooded eyes are very simple to work with. It's like working on a flat surface. I have very deep set, small eyes and they're super difficult to work with.

  • I couldnt help but notice, is that YOUR silhouette on the lids of the eye shadows your using?? lol

  • Please do a "Series" for heavy/hooded lids.

It's really hard to find good tutorials for eyes like ours.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  • @shallyanna he has done that HOODED LIDS

  • @adminmalla Sorry.. I meant "do another one". I've seen the tutorials but I WANT MOOOORE!!!!!!!

  • @shallyanna I agree!! I think my eyes are heavy. I have no crease and attempt to create it all the time, and there are no really good tutorials on that.

  • Do you have your own line of shadows????

  • I'll do this make up for saturday

  • thank you very nice

  • Great explanation Koren, now i dare to give it a try. Thanks & Happy New Year !! xxx

  • i hate how these inexperienced little girls have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and views but someone like you who has the knowledge and experience doesn't. it baffles me. i love u koren! lol

  • Koren, your videos are very informative and I LOVE your intro - sounds like my mother too! (My mother was 100% Japanese.) Say in your best Japanese accent - "Lordie (supposed to be Lorie), stoppa using my lippa stick!" LOL! ;-)

  • Looks great

  • Please - lots more back to basics! I would love to get better at my eyes, but I always end up with a muddy mess. These back to basic vids are helping me determine what I'm doing wrong.

  • i love your videos! have you tried bh cosmetics shadow palettes? i think you would love them

  • Thank you! I have a question: do you start the cut crease on the natural crease or above? I have hooded lids so its difficult for me

  • Glad to have u back! ;D

  • I wish to do all this in couple minutes before go to work ! :) ...

  • How would you line your eye with a look like this? A wing? Upper lid only?

  • I always have a hard timedoing this. Thanks for the video :)

  • This helped alot! I have a combination of deepset & hooded eyes and I could never do a cut-crease

  • Omg so easy!! I suck at cut creases but now i'm going to try again

  • Hi Koren :-)

    Love this! Thank you!

  • Hi Koren! Happy new year!

How do you prevent the darker colors from bleeding into the shimmery orange/lighter color?

  • I always wondered what exactly a cut crease is, super helpful thank you!

  • wow, you made it look easy! thanks!

  • Yay! Great to see a tutorial of this. I've been doing something similar to this for my everyday look. Now I know how to turn it up a notch. Thank you

  • Thanks, Koren! This is enormously helpful! Some videos make a cut crease seem so complicated, but you've made it feel much more achievable! So happy to see you back with new tutorials!

  • @benefitphinatic Is that really any of your business? Didn't you ever learn any manners?? That's just a rude & ignorant question! Besides, what difference does it make? You should apologize for being so crass!!

  • "Which is really really SEXY." I adore you!!!

  • So glad you're back!

  • This was very informative and well demonstrated. I am going to like this vid so that it goes in my faves heap so that I can refer back to it, when I need to. :)

  • I looooove u!!!!

  • now i get it thanks

  • I loved it helps a lot

  • Koren you're so amazing! Thank you so much, it's a great vid :) I always get excited when a new video of yours comes up! :D

  • so simple and excellently explained. AMAZING. thank you thank you thank you xx

  • You make it look so easy

  • Are you gay?

  • Hi Koren, can you give another B/B on brows...I've never shaped my own brows (afraid of over plucking) I go to a salon, but every time I go and request a more dramatic/glamorous brow, I end up with grandma brows (no arch, rounded , with no decrease at the end) Do have tips on shaping your own brows with no waxing or plucking, and how to find the right placement to arch for first time DIYers. Thanks.

  • @ScarlettOBeara What do you mean without plucking or waxing?......then how exactly? My personal advice: follow your natural shape and just get reed of the extra hairs only on the bottom of your brow. Don't mess with the top hairs. You'll see what your natural shape is if you look at yourself on a mirror from a distance or if you've overplucked them and you can't see , you look at older photos of yours before you plucked them. Sooner or later you'll realise it's what looks best on you.

  • Thank you great work love it xxx

  • It's really such a great surprise to see a Koren vid! That's the way to start the new year! :-D Thanks for all you do Sir!

  • Thanks Koren. I really appreciate you doing these back to basics videos for us.

  • Love you!

  • I Really like your eyes.....just sayin

  • Great instuctional vid. Thank you!

  • i really love these back to basic videos! =)

  • Very cool! Thanks!

Question: How do you know what color complements another? Because when u said that blue complements orange, I was like "Really?" But then after a couple seconds, I was like "Duh, yeah totally!" Lol. So yeah, how do u know? Does it have something to do with like the color wheel?

    Thanks again! :)

  • Please do more videos on hooded or monolids !

  • This was really helpful! Thank you

  • Koren, thank you so very much for this!

  • Koren Darling! Happy New Year...Your work is simply FAB!!! I love your creative eye for detailed...I pray that God continue to bless you so that you will continue to be a blessing to others...

  • Best teacher:)

  • You're seriously so helpful! This made it so much easier.

  • what product/color did u use for the orange/gold lid color

  • Dang, he explained this technique so simple.

  • what is cut creasing meant to do?

  • @stylie just a dramatic eye look. for hooded lids, it makes it appear as eyeliner as well

  • @scorcher219396 oh ok, thanks. So its not for normal shaped eyes?

  • @stylie Cut creases are actually super fun and gorgeous on 'normal' shaped eyes. QueenOrBlendingMUA does FABULOUS cut creases and she doesn't have hooded or monolids. :)

  • @stylie it can be if you just want a really dramatic or cartoony looking eyeshadow. it's all preference

  • @stylie A cut crease is when you create extremely defined eyes by running eyeshadow throughout your whole eye crease! It gives the allusion of extremely set and defined eyes! Its particularly handy for people who's eye shape doesn't have a crease. i.e. hooded lids.

  • Happy New Year Koren!
